Sure, its kind of trivial, but if we can have a Myung Kicks a Beach Ball thread we can have this too

Anyways, I was noticing JLB has been saying stuff like "This song is in Rock Band 2!" at the beginning of Panic Attack. Do you think it was his idea, or if someone in the band/crew suggested it ("Hey JLB I bet a lot of these guys have Rock Band 2 and it would be good promotion")

This reminds me that I want to ask Mike at his meet and greet tomorrow (HOLY SHIT, my concert is tomorrow. I'm really excited I can actually go to this one [check Concert Dilemma thread]) if Dream Theater has any songs on the new Guitar Hero or Rock Band or if they are going to be doing the Rock Band Network thing any time soon.

I played Constant Motion last night on RockBand 2. My friend downloaded it. i never play that game. it was fun. but his idea of DT is now Panic Attack and Constant Motion. They are good songs, but not DT classics. It bothers me lol.

It would be AWESOME to see the entirety of Images And Words done for Rock Band 3, especially because of the keyboard! It would be a great way to play "Wait For Sleep". The whole album would be a challenge, but even individual songs would be tough! Maybe we can bug the band enough to see what they think!

Yeah, I think the worst part of DT's set was when JLB introduced Panic Attack by making reference to Rock Band 2.

If the entire 12 Step Suite was put on RBN, that would be pretty awesome. But at the same time, those songs are vastly different from the songs that are in Rock Band, so if a song did make it, it would probably be A Rite of Passage.

Ahhh yes, the typical metal-side single - "Panic Attack" and "Constant Motion" definitely fit that theme, as would "A Rite Of Passage". Going backwards, "As I Am" would be great too, as would "The Test That Stumped Them All" (single edit or not).

That sounds like a good idea. Although "Vacant" would be interesting, but with Keyboards now, you could do Keyboard/bass for "Vacant". That would be interesting.

For all I know they've done this, but it would be cool if they could let anybody create a rock band file or whatever it's considered for any song. Then put it in an online marketplace for anyone to try and rate how good of a song it is to play. Different people could do different versions of the same song. That way you could download and play any song you want to. I guess you would need artist approval, but I bet people would pay like $10 for a whole album like they do on iTunes though.

That's not the full setlist, it's just the officially announced songs, so it's still completely possible.
Personally, I'm hoping for something from Awake.

The Mirror is a popular song, right? If its anything off of Awake, it'll probably be that, but I wouldn't count on it. My senses keep pointing towards A Rite of Passage, even if that song is meh to me. Although I wouldn't complain if they put the whole A Mind Besides Itself suite on there

You have to play it as soon as it appears in tour mode, because that venue will never be open again.

As much as I want something from Awake, it would more likely be something more recent; odds of it being A Rite Of Passage are probably pretty high. Though there are other songs I'd prefer, I'd be fine with that.

Yeah, I think they'd add something off Systematic Chaos or BC&SL, since RR Records has been releasing a lot of DLC recently. If they added The Dark Eternal Night I would FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU- first, but I'd realize that it's a hard song to play and hell of a fun one to sing.
