As you all know, Dream Theater (especially Messrs Portnoy and Rudess) can be hilarious to watch backstage. Discuss, appreciate, and nominate your favourite DT funny moments from the various videos, DVDs and YouTube videos over the years.

My favourites include the legendary 15 Minutes to Psycho, and a more recent effort, JLB in the sweetshop in Stockholm (I'll 'Brejk' his ******* head; 'Daim,' that looks good!')

This is a compilation of funny stuff, mostly of an audio commentary the band did. Highlights include:

1:42 - JLB freaky spinout and mad dancing

2:47 - JLB: What were you playing there John? *long pause, change of camera angle*
JM: Bass
MP: He's our bass player. Have you guys met?
JLB: So, how long have you been doing this?

6:21 - In a music shop, JP is playing the PMU riff on a guitar. Then a guy says 'Is that Dream Theater?'. Yes, it is. I'm guessing the guy didn't know that he was talking to the actual guitarist of actual Dream Theater.  :laugh:

10 minutes of general funny stuff from the guys!  :lol

At the Worcester concert during the Metropolis solo tradeoff between John and Jordan when they were right next to each other, Petrucci reached out when Jordan was soloing and tugged on his beard a bit.  :lol

At the show in Buffalo on July 5th he was patting JR on the head during the solo tradeoffs  :lol

The 'Why did Kevin Moore really leave Dream Theater' has to be my all time favourite one, its pure genius. Unfortunately it has been taken down from youtube :(

I definitely agree. Part of the reason, imo, is that JLB is more subtle with his humour and doesn't try too hard.

I'm convinced it's an act, now. He must've decided it'd be funny not to say anything. And in fairness, it kind of is. Eric wouldn't've just put that in front of him worldessly, and JM would've asked questions. I'd guess the entire feature was probably loosely planned.
