Okay, just listened to it. Here's my criticism:
First of all, this work is more creative and versatile than most ambient/noise works I've heard, that's obviously both positive and negative.
The upside is the little melodic lines in nearly every song, they attach the listener to the song, making sure that you really want to hear where it is going. Very good choice of instruments too (I remember specifically the xylophone). Downside is both the quality of the audio samples of those instruments (I'm guessing SoftSynth in finale or cubase? - you should try Garritan, that works amazing) and the quality of those melodic lines.
Let's take Cave Hunting for example: The ambience on the background really sets a mood, and the xylophone over it, the melodic quality I mean, doesn't really get enough time to develop. It's some sort of minimal Steve Reich like layer to the composition, but that should (if that is what you want to achieve) really take its time.
Okay so after my second listen it appears that the xylophone is the only melodicness on the EP. Doesn't matter, my story still stands
So, what do I like the best about the EP? I guess that your music expression is great, the atmosphere you build in Charlie's Ghost is really outstanding, that's a track that really haunts in a right way.
The other tracks are really great idea's, in a way that I'd love to see them getting worked out in a song. I can't really see Transmission 8 as a song now. If you see Drone #6 by Bass Communion for example, that's only one idea as well, just as your noise track, but it becomes a standalone track just by maintaining the attention of the listener. I guess you could really maintain for longer than 1.5 minute, just because the quality of the track is great.
If you got questions, just ask!
