But yeah, definitely cool of Portnoy to let fans take pictures with him like that.  Props.

Saw this elsewhere and someone had said they thought it was a bit weird that a Rush fan, at a Rush show, with a camera, decided to video Mike most of the time, from behind, during the whole show... well, maybe not the WHOLE show, but they thought it was still a bit creeperish.

I don't disagree, but I mean, it's cool to see how awesome Mike is, even as a Rush fan at a Rush concert.

Pretty awesome stuff. I like the cell phone picture because he could get a really nice picture of himself with the band anytime he wants and yet he's out there snapping away like everyone else.

I assume it was at a venue with a lot of lawn seating. It also looks really early, people are still showing up.

Very cool, but while I am sure MP has to expect the attention, I also sorta feel bad. I obviously would have probably went and said hi and asked to take a photo, but at some point, it's gotta get tiresome. That said, he probably asked for it sitting in the crowd instead of asking NP to watch from the side of the stage.

True, but I'm sure the fan in him wanted to watch from the lawn! Besides, I think more DT fans would be hyped if they saw a Rush member at a DT show than if Rush fans saw a DT member at a Rush show...but it's neat that people did recognize him. Either way, Mike got special treatment anyway...
