The Rush Tour - most/least *Spoilers*
« on: July 05, 2010, 08:17:35 AM »
This is not a thread to diss any of the set list. Its a thread to list the 5 songs you are most pumped up to hear this tour, and the 5 you could run to the bathroom for if you had to.

Most pumped...
1. Presto
2. The Camera Eye
3. Marathon
4. Caravan
5. LaVillaStangiato

Could miss if I have too...
1. Faithless
2. Stick It Out
3. Tom Sawyer
4. Working Them Angels
5. Limelight

My pumped list is mostly because I have never heard the songs or not in a really long time.

My miss list is mostly because I have heard the song 37 times or because its just one I can miss and not be upset.(if I need a piss break)

Make your lists! :tick2:

:lol Took the words right out of my mouth.
I don't see what this thread has to do with an overall Rush tour thread? Don't want to make your lists, then suit yourself.

Its too much to have another Rush tour based thread? :police:

It just makes more sense to keep all of the tour talk in one thread, as opposed to being one of those forums where there are 11 threads on the same thing.  A slight exaggeration, but I am sure you catch my drift. :)

I wanted to see everyone's top 5, least 5 lists without a bunch of non related Rush tour posts mixed in with it. So will you indulge me and make your list?

Most pumped...
1. Presto
2. The Camera Eye
3. Marathon
4. Caravan
5. Faithless

Could miss if I have too...
1. Stick it Out
2. Closer to the Heart
3. Tom Sawyer
4. Working Them Angels
5. Limelight

I think the could miss list on my part is the fact I've seen them too many times or I saw WTA's too many times on the last tour.

I hear ya. The reason I put songs like Tom Sawyer and Limelight on my bottom list is because I have seen them both over 30 times each. I do think though that Rush doing Moving Pictures in its entirety could make them must see. The whole visual thing will probably be great.

Same hear tick.  I just love that the band is stronger than ever . Not many bands with this many years under their belt get stronger live.

They have never had a time where they were irrelevant, but wow, last tour and this one has Rush at a level not seen since the Signals tour, imo.

Well, what I mean is there are not many bands that seem to put out the quality of music they do 37 years into it.  I also feel they are playing beter now live than some earlier tours like Power Windows and  HYF.  Like I said, they are like wine, better with age. :)

I agree with you 100%. I guess what I'm saying is, having seen every tour since Moving Pictures, I see trends as far as some tours being more popular then others. This tour is just such a tough ticket. The Mohegan Sun show sold out so quickly this time. I just love the fact that people are recognizing there greatness now more then ever and realizing it won't always be there, so seize the day. :tup

Okay, to make tick happy...:p

The 5 songs I am most pumped to see this tour are:

1. "Marathon" - Long one of my favorite Rush tunes, I will FINALLY get to see it.
2. "La Villa Strangiato" - I never get tired of them playing this.
3. "Caravan" - Will be curious to see how it sounds live.
4. "BU2B" - Ditto.
5. "Red Barchetta" - Another personal favorite I can never get enough of (that is not as overplayed as the other Side 1 MP songs).

And the 5 I could miss (although I won't) if I had to run to the men's room:

1. "Limelight" - It doesn't do that much for me live anymore, I have to admit.
2. "Working Man" - Have never been overly wild about this song.
3. "Far Cry" - I am still shocked at the great spot this song got in the set list, which is not deserved.
4. "Stick It Out" - I love CP, but this is my least favorite from it.
5. "Faithless" - There was absolutely no reason to start playing this.

*sigh* I still think it makes more sense to move this to the tour thread but whatever.

5 I'm most pumped to see (no particular order)
1. Marathon
2. Red Barchetta (they didn't play it when they went through Raleigh on the S&A tour, which is a shame because its in my top 5 Rush songs)
3. Caravan/BU2B
4. La Villa Strangiato
5. The Camera Eye

5 I could miss
None, I intend to stay in my spot the whole three hours.

I don't see what the big deal is guys.  If the mods don't like it they'll add the the the Rush forum.  If not, the thread goes on.  What's the big woop?

Closer To The Heart made your top 5? That's interesting. I have heard it so many times so I'm spoiled, and the fact there  not doing the extended ending makes it less appealing to me.
