I just picked up No One's First and You're Next. It's my first Modest Mouse album... Did I made a good move?

That's a wonderful EP, and you should be excited to explore the rest of their discography!

Yeah, very good move.

Definitely get Good News For People Who Love Bad News, too.  That one is my favorite from them.

I'm finally getting around to listening to LCD Soundsystem. Really not getting the appeal.

Which album did you pick? They're not for everyone, but I love them.

I like that the most, but most people seem to prefer Sound of Silver. Other than Drunk Girls and Somebody's Calling Me, though, I think TIH is basically stellar track after stellar track.

You'd think The Beatles were capable of way more than 4 million. :neverusethis:

This band oscillates between Indie and Alternative Rock. Seriously, listen to this band and (start with) this album. (Maybe they are more New Wave, but whatever. This thread fits a lot of stuff)

** The Sounds - Crossing the Rubicon ** GET IT NOW

Also, Scouting for Girls - Scouting for Girls -- This is if you like to feel in a happy mood. Great record, imo.

The Fifteenth - In Foxholes We Dug Ourselves -- If you're feeling experimental.

Frengers is what I would tell you.  (And probably most others here)

Too much retro vibe (that I don't like) in this album.

Fair enough, I can see why it would turn someone off.

Everyone should check out Humbug By Arctic Monkeys too, my favourite album recently.

Arcade Fire is by far the best them when it comes to Indie. Funeral, Neon Bible and The Suburbs are all brilliantly written, especially the first.

:lol no, apparently my obvious reference to the "too indie to be known" joke wasn't properly conveyed.
