But the OP asked which you thought was unfairly disrespected. SC definitely gets disrespected but for good reason.
Hmm, so he did; must have skipped over the word "unfairly". :lol

Well, then it's still WDADU and SC. :P

You know I see you keep mentioning this group of people who think DT ended after SFAM but I can not for the life of me remember anyone here ever saying that.

:lol  Me either, who are these elusive people?  I guess Darkes belongs to the group that thinks DT STARTED at SFAM?

Yep, that's why Awake is my second favourite.

Well, I've seen lots of those (for your information: they don't wear it on their foreheads), including the one I was replying to, but never mind, it's off-topic anyway.

But a very good point...

Since when have I ever said I thought DT ended after SFAM in any form? Hell I've even gone on record saying that Six Degrees is the perfect example of what the current DT lineup could do but they refuse to get out of their comfort zone. You seriously need to stop pidgeonholing people with these made up groups and mindsets your paranoid ass comes up with every single time you disagree with someone's opinion because it's starting to show everywhere and it ruins the well thought out arguments you make.

This is true, and that's actually my exact opinion of Octavarium.  But I think there are definitely as many or more people who love it and consider it one of their favorite albums.  And it's always being lauded as "the perfect introduction to DT" or "the album that epitomizes the band", etc.

I find 87.5% of the album is great (IWBY being a somewhat weak link). But I don't think it's generally disrespected by others.

I like four songs from it. TROAE and Octavarium are awesome, and Panic Attack/Sacrificed Sons are really good imo. The rest is bleh

WDADU gets my vote, both personally and by the fan base in general. Any time I want to listen to a song from that era I either listen to Another Won (yes, I know, not on WDADU, but close enough) and Afterlife from Score or TKH on LatM

Easily When Dream and Day Unite. It is disrespected regularly by those who acknowledge its existence for a variety of reasons and disrespected by many others who pretty much forget it ever happened.
I think WDADU is the easy answer here.  Many either dismiss or ignore it, simply because it was their first album with a different singer.

SC gets about as much as respect as it deserves.  If you don't think it gets that much, well, it probably doesn't deserve it, then.
Definitely WDADU. Its existence is almost completely disregarded most of the time.
When Dream and Day Unite, obviously. It has many great moments but unfortunately many people dismiss it beacause of the vocals and production. I think Train of Thought also gets more criticism than it deserves just because of the heaviness.

WDADU for me also. I think 5 of the 8 songs are great (exceptions are tracks 2, 5, 7).

In The Presence of Enemies Pt. 1 is the only song from the album that seems to be liked a lot.
I love almost every song on the album. Repentance is the weak track for me.

I've heard that the guitar tone in This Dying Soul When JLB first comes in is taken directly from a Mudvayne song.

Say what you want about Mudvayne but LD 50 is god tier.

Mudvayne is easily the best nu-metal band in my opinion. No contest.

Agreed 100%. Ryan Martinie(bass) and Matt McDonough(drums) could definitely play in a prog band given their raw physical abilities and creativity with which they approach their parts.

They are all treated fairly.  The only one I could even see an argument for is WDADU, which gets judged on Charlie's vocals and the production values on the album, and not on the content of the composition.  However, the final product is what it is, and I can't listen to it very often.

Right.. It's not the tracks themselves that get the criticism.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

i agree WDADU does get ignored. I dont even listen to it ever! ill either listen to When Dream and Day RE-Unite, or listen to various other live versions from Live at the Marquee, Budokan, or Score (A Fortune in Lies off of Marquee is the best!)

I would say that my most ignored DT album is WDADU because I just can't use to DT without Labrie, I'll be completely honest. I love when they play WDADU live though!

WDADU is an unfortunate case, in that I like the songs on it, but that the studio album is fairly weak, largely because of the production. As well, while Charlie is a decent singer, he himself openly admits that the songs were beyond his range. WDADRU is definitely better than nothing, but I really wish they'd re-recorded the album in the studio during the IaW/Awake era, with better production and James in his prime, even if it had only ended up being a fanclub release or something.
I know there's supposedly an IaW era bootleg floating around out there with all of the WDADU songs performed live, but I've never been able to find it. I know Mike records pretty much everything the band does, and I will say, if he ever puts together an official bootleg with those songs from the IaW era, I would buy it in a second.

For SC, though it's probably my second least favorite DT album, I do like it. I went back and took another look at it recently. Regardless of what opinion one holds regarding it, they definitely tried some new things on it. The only song on it that I don't really like is TMOLS, and that's mainly because the base song and the instrumental break clash.
