Possibly the best musician, in terms of raw songwriting ability in every single song, since Dylan imo.

I've been listening to his music almost non-stop since a week or two. So amazing.

I keep listening to it every day, almost. The songwriting is just absolutely beautiful, and Burden of Tomorrow, Love is All, and King of Spain are some of the best songs I've ever heard. The Dreamer from the EP is amazing, too.

He's really due for some new material now, maybe in 2012? :)

Looking at the pace he's had before, I'm very hopeful about a 2012 album.
And also, with the "type" of music he plays, it's a good thing because writing an album probably won't take as long time as it would for a full time band, and I'm certain that he already has a couple of tracks probably, so when he decided to record a new album, I don't think it will take much time. :)

That's true. He probably writes a lot of his songs while touring.

He played some new songs when I saw him earlier this year so 2012 sounds realistic.

Also, see him live if you can - it's fantastic.

Listened to The Wild Hunt and enjoyed it very much. Gonna give it a couple of more spins tomorrow.
What should I listen to next?

Shallow Grave, his other album. And his EP Sometimes The Blues Is Just A Passing Bird.

Really? I think that's probably my least favourite thing he's done! The second EP is probably the most condensed bit of brilliance he's released, imo.

Well, I think the first EP is really good, but it's also my least favorite release by him.
He has a very high lowpoint though, so it's still worth checking out. :P

Oh I see what you mean, sorry. Yeah it is still very good, better than most other modern folk artists' stuff for sure. I still stand by my claim that he's the most consistent artist since Dylan/Tool, and much more prolific than the latter to boot.

Listening now. And I get why people would associated him with Dylan. Is he as witty lyrically as Bob is? I would think that'd be a compliment.
I'll check out more of his stuff. King of Spain was extremely catchy. Swedes have a knack for catchiness, it seems.

I'm new to him, but I've really like The Gardener.

@OP, thank you very much for the thread. I know I never would have heard of this guy on my own.  :tup

I've neglected that one for some time.  Thought it pretty much just contained tracks from Shallow Grave.

Why would it contain tracks from Shallow Grave? It was released after The Wild Hunt...

Pretty sure you're confusing it with his first EP, which is self-titled. (like Zantera already said :) )

Yeah, I know I say this a lot, but Sometimes The Blues... is actually probably his strongest release, in terms of every single moment being perfect, for me. I also prefer his slightly less nasal singing voice on it compared to The Wild Hunt, and the overall mellower vibe.

Also, plug for my cover of 'Into The Stream,' plox check it out: https://soundcloud.com/marvellousg93/into-the-stream-cover

He's performing on a Swedish TV-show tomorrow, not live or anything since it's pre-recorded.
And it wont be his own songs but a few cover-songs instead, still I am excited to see him.  :)

Also, a new album should probably come out this year, though I've heard little to nothing about it. Oh well, gotta have high hopes!
