Madman Shepherd

Have you guys watched any of the videos he posted (that actually had a narrative as opposed to the weird squirrel stuff).  Very interesting stuff from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.  Also an interesting clip from the women's prison here in Iowa.

Weird squirrel stuff??

 :lol

There once was a squirrel named Kevin Moore. May he rest in peace.

I forgot how much I love Memory Hole. I haven't listened to it since I had it on my parents dinosaur computer.

Shadow Ninja 2.0

Well, there's one on Amazon for $96, if you're interested.

Shadow Ninja 2.0

It's just not the same. Plus you don't get the booklet and liner notes.

Dead Air for Radios on Bandcamp!
Aw man but all I want is DAFR on a CD.
Same here, but I know there'll never be a CD reissue :sadpanda: Anyway, I'll certainly buy this digital version - the price isn't bad, Kevin gets money (which he deserves - having to dl the first 2 CK albums not-so-legally made me feel so guilty :blush) and the files are of high quality.

It's only a matter of time until YGN is on Bandcamp, but hopefully Music Meant to Be Heard/This is a Recording will be made available as well, because I haven't listened to those songs that much.

Ben_Jamin

Check back on Amazon every now and then. I got lucky and got DAFR used for $15.

Yikes! I didn't know it was hard to find, or I would have been taking better care of my copy.

Mebert78

I had my DAFR cd in my car for a few years in one of those binders that hold a few dozen CDs.  For some reason, I like to include the album booklet in the binder, because some CDs don't have the band name written on them -- and DAFR was one of them.  I just rearranged the binder this weekend and noticed that the DAFR booklet pages were all warped and stuck together from the cold.  I was so sad, but it's my fault.

I recently listened to the Colorblind single on Spotify. I'm not sure whether I should find it amusing that a not-so-commercial artist like Kevin made radio edits of his songs, or lament that those edits probably never got played on the radio. I'm gravitating towards the latter option... :sadpanda:

TioJorge

I've actually heard Colorblind a couple times on the radio. One wasn't so surprising given that it was a prog dedicated station (who also play a shitload of old DT) while I was at LSU. The other was a random local rock station while driving through Gulf Shores.  :lol

Really? That's awesome! Maybe releasing that single wasn't in vain after all :lol

Oh wow, I like! I never liked Allen's voice much, but he sounds pretty good in this song and it fits. Very interesting keyboard work from god. It's stuff like this though that really makes me wish he'd release more solo work. I've been on a major CK kick recently too.  :sadpanda: :millahhhh

MoraWintersoul

Great, but very much in need of a more powerful mix (I'm sure they'll fix it, as it's just a demo now).

bout to crash

Oh god, I don't think I can get through this whole thing   :|

abydos

Is the name of the guitar player Hey Lookat Me? Some nice moments and melodies, ruined by blatantly wanking that sounds like shit.

?

There are barely any keyboards in that song :P

Shadow Ninja 2.0

Song's all right, but there's really not a lot of KevMo there. Or Amanda. This should be rectified.

MoraWintersoul

There will be an entire EP, so I'll judge it from there.

bout to crash

I couldn't get through half that song, let alone an entire EP  :lol

Lol, seriously. Well, it's not as if the music was particularly interesting to begin with, so...

Yup.

?

The wankery doesn't bother me as much as the total mediocrity of the song... The moment it started I thought it sounded like something I'd heard before.

bout to crash

Yeah, I thought the same thing. Something I'd heard before and hated.

Kevin is appearing on Aquiles Priester's upcoming solo album.

Link: https://aquilespriester.com/site/first-instrumental-album-of-aquiles-priester-and-gustavo-carmo-the-first/

QuoteThe first solo album of the drummer Aquiles Priester and the guitarist Gustavo Carmo, will be mixed and mastered by Adair Daufembach at Daufembach Studio in São Paulo. Produced by them both, it was recorded over 2013 and 2014.

Drums were recorded at Mr. Som in São Paulo by Marcello Pompeu and Heros Trench and the final guitar tracks were recorded at AK-47 Studios in Seattle, where the guitarist currently resides. The whole album was conceived through studio jams in a very spontaneous way.

It is an instrumental record that totals 9 songs, and counts on the following guest musicians (alphabetic order): Bruno Ladislau, Francis Botene, Greg Howe, Juninho Carelli, Kevin Moore, Nili Brosh, Tony MacAlpine and Vinnie Moore.
