Vampire freak? lol

Very cool though, James always does good interviews. And it's nice to get some confirmation about a lot of the things coming up.
Cole: "Ow I just got hit in the balls"
Me: "How?"
Cole: "Well you know when you try to scratch your balls, and you scratch too hard?
I'll admit sometimes I want to listen to Dragonforce.

James says John is going to be writing during their break... does this mean he hasn't started yet? I guess this means if he's writing and recording in the fall, then he'll probably mix and release it in the late winter/spring of 2011, around the time DT will be writing and recording their next album.

"The Static Pulse" sounds interesting, and I'll have to get some of the JLB solo stuff before mid September, then!

Always nice to see interviews from the other guys since Portnoy seems to be handling most of them nowadays.

I agree! Mike and Jordan have been the most vocal in recent years, and with their web-presence so broad now (Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, etc. etc.), they have really become the voice and face of the band outside of the music and concerts. I wish James would do more interviews or connect with the fan community in the way Mike and Jordan have.

Actually, i think you're wrong. Several years have passed since Suspanded Animation, that was in part construct with old songs. Possibly John has wrote lines and melodies during this last tours, or in his spear time. So, i think it would be a faster process. But we don't know how he would release it, and if he will do some promotional clinics for it. I hope he will!.

- james labrie new album (we already know it) coming in September
- new jp solo album
- new jally jam album with Jonh Myung
- 2011 new DT album

So,maybe that DT will begin to write the new album in late spring 2011 or early summer, seen that later this year james labrie will do a tour to support his new solo album, john petrucci too will do his next solo album...mike portnoy will be touring with avenged until october and who nows in november and december??? But I don't think....anyway all dt members will have something to later this year...so a couple of months off next year...maybe four months and then they will begin to work on the next studio album according to me.

I just love his sincerity. The bit of his vocal problem, even if I heard this a bunch of times, was still refreshing. Just going on was heroic.

This has potential to be quite awesome.
So it looks like, aside from Mike, who just did a Transatlantic album, all of the guys have projects during the break. Looks like we have lots of great music coming our way.

Well I just mean for projects where they were heavily involved in the writing, which is why I went with Transatlantic for Mike.

Well, if you think about it that way, sure... but think about all the material Mike has to learn for the live show, and not just one album (like he did when recording their latest release). That's a lot for him to do, especially considering his end-of-July schedule: ending the tour with DT/IM, then flying out for High Voltage to play with Transatlantic one more time, then back to NA for the A7X tour the next day. Writing or not, the man is insanely busy!

Oh, I'm not saying he's not doing anything. I was just commenting on how we have new music coming out written by the other four guys, and that Mike had just done that Transatlantic album, so we're getting material from all five of them.

Oh, right...well fair enough, but Mike hasn't really been very vocal about his plans post-A7X, so he could be doing something Non-DT related AFTER that... there's that mysterious Wilson/Akerfeldt thing that he may or may not participate in...or he may just want to do nothing until DT reconvenes after the New Year.

Either way, the band certainly has a lot going on this year and not even all together! It's great!
