I would love that set but of course I'd prefer more of a shakeup. I can't see them straying from the format of a Drum Solo, Acoustic, and opening with BITS. How many repeat venues are they playing in?
SF got Outcry and no BAI. I predict the opposite. For the acoustic set we got TSM/BTS now we'll get FFH/WFS.
I love the acoustic thing, 'cos a. it's a bit different, and b. it creates a sort of act break. As does the drum solo, actually.
Bridges in the Sky is almost guaranteed as an opener, I'd think. They might start rotating Outcry and Build Me Up, Break Me Down with Lost Not Forgotten and This is the Life, but they're not going to start chopping out all the A Dramatic Turn of Events songs any time soon, not so close to the DVD recording. My guess is something like this...
1. Bridges in the Sky
2. 6:00
3. This is the Life / Build Me Up, Break Me Down (rotating)
4. A Rite of Passage*
5. The Root of All Evil
--drum solo--
6. A Fortune in Lies / Ytse Jam (rotating)
7. Outcry
--
8. Wait For Sleep / The Silent Man (rotating)
9. Far from Heaven / Beneath the Surface (rotating)
--
(A.) A Nightmare to Remember
10. On the Backs of Angels
11. Breaking All Illusions
(B.) The Count of Tuscany
--encore--
13. No idea! In the Name of God?
*Maybe rotating with Wither. So they've got all the tentpoles of their previous sets, eliminated The Dark Eternal Night which they played on the last DVD and every night on the CiM tour (as much as I love it!), most of A Dramatic Turn of Events, a good chunk of Black Clouds & Silver Linings, (none of which has been committed to DVD, so I think two tracks per show is a very safe bet,) and you can cobble it all together into a fairly coherent setlist.
My one concern is that there's a
lot of newer stuff when you replace the wildcards with BCSL stuff. I think there'll probably be less of a skew towards the last two albums than in my guess. Especially given that I've tried not to include too many rotations. But, I don't think I'll be
miles off.
