Still will believe it when I see it as far as them playing Home, Octavarium, or anything else that Portnoy wrote lyrics for...  We'll see!  Time will tell...

Under a Glass Moon
Innocence Faded
Outcry
Forsaken
Endless Sacrifice (seems like this or As I Am from Train of Thought are the only two options, would love ItNoG or SoC though!)
YTSE Jam and Drums
A Rite of Passage (Will they play Tuscany?  Maybe not, Nightmare? Maybe not, leaves this and Wither?)
The Great Debate
Panic Attack
Far From Heaven
Breaking All Illusions
On the Backs of Angles
Hells Kitchen
---
Wait for Sleep
Learning to Live

YES. I'd switch Octavarium with Metropolis to be the encore though.

Kind of a mix of new songs and the Euro setlist with some additions.

I'll make mine around 2 hours cause I haven't heard the new songs yet to be able to tell which ones I'd like to see go in a set list. It seems like most of you got the album in advance somehow?

Ytse Jam
Metropolis
Fatal Tragedy
The Dance of Eternity
In The Presense of Enemies
Wither
A Mind Beside Itself
Under a Glass Moon
Endless Sacrifice
The Count of Tuscany
-encore-
Vacant/SOC
Learning to Live

I hope they put together an entirely different set list to the one they played on the European leg. I know they will play OTBOA and if the new CD is heavy, I hope they play a good chunk of that. As for older stuff, it's all good to me. The Glass Prison would be nice.

I've been ignoring everything to do with ADTOE so this setlist is highly unlikely, but feel free to slot in ADTOE songs while reading.

The Test That Stumped Them All
A Nightmare To Remember
The Dance Of Eternity
Stargazer
Erotomania
Trial Of Tears
The Best Of Times (whether they'd do this without Portnoy out of respect idk)
Pull Me Under
Fatal Tragedy
The Count Of Tuscany
Octavarium
------------
Overture 1928
Metropolis Pt. 1

2:20ish.

There is no way they "waste" precious minutes to cover other band's song on a regular basis. They could play something from Rush's catalogue in the Canadian dates, though.  :tup

Thinking that the set list will be heavy on the new album and hoping that they repeat some songs from the European tour that I would like to see... my thoughts...

On the Backs of Angels
Under a Glass Moon
These Walls
Build Me Up, Break Me Down
Drum Solo
6:00
Forsaken
The Great Debate
Bridges in the Sky
Wither
Beyond this Life
Anna Lee
Outcry

Encore:
Far from Heaven
Breaking All Illusions

Beyond this Life
Anna Lee
Outcry

WTF

Anyway, probably something like this. Haven't heard anything off of ADTOE (apart from OTBOA), but this is based purely on what I've heard, read;

Bridges in the Sky
Under a Glass Moon
Forsaken
Endless Sacrifice
Lost Not Forgotten
Peruvian Skies
The Great Debate
On the Backs of Angels
Caught in a Web
Through My Words
Fatal Tragedy
Breaking all Illusions
The Count of Tuscany
------------------
Learning to Live

2:20 approx.

If Beyond this Life can flow into Through my Words, it can flow into Anna Lee!  ha!

Seriously though I'd be slightly surprised to see Anna Lee...consider that wishful thinking as it'd be nice to hear something other than Lines in the Sand, Trail of Tears, Hollow Years or Peruvian Skies since they've all been played out on recent tours... some more than others.  Beyond this Life... haven't heard that in a while so I tossed it in.  I wouldn't be surprised if they played the exact same songs from the European tour over here... with some taken out and replaced with ADTOE songs.

As most of us know, the setlist is more or less set in stone this time around.  So I think this type of thread is appropriate, and could be interesting to see if anyone is able to guess the setlist.

All we know for sure is that JR said they'll play Outcry.

The songs that they played at the festival shows were:

Under A Glass Moon
Caught In A Web
Fatal Tragedy
The Great Debate
These Walls
Forsaken
Through My Words
Endless Sacrifice
The Count of Tuscany
Ytse Jam
Peruvian Skies
Mike Mangini Drum Solo
Learning to Live
Metropolis

Anyway, here's my prediction:

I can see ADTOE songs taking up about half the setlist.  I think we'll see Outcry (confirmed), OTBOA (the single), LNF (works great as an opener), BAI (the mainepic), and BMUBMD (probably the second single).  That brings us to about 50 minutes, assuming we have about 90-100 minutes for the full show.

As far as the other songs, I think we'll get Ytse Jam and the accompanying Mangini solo.  After that, I think we'll need a good closer/encore, depending on which spot BAI takes.  Metropolis, LTL, or TCOT are good contenders for this, although TCOT has been the encore for a while now, and LTL is very similar to BAI so I dunno if it makes it less likely to be played.

But anyway, here's my setlist:

1. Lost Not Forgotten
2. Build Me Up, Break Me Down
3. Wither
4. Ytse Jam/Solo
5. On the Backs of Angels
6. Caught in a Web
7. Take Away My Pain
8. Outcry
9. Peruvian Skies
10. Breaking All Illusions
11. Metropolis Pt 1

It all adds up to between 90-100 minutes.

Actually no one did, but I have a feeling that there's more than what have been said on that subject (and I'm not hinting at the speculated lawsuit or whatever has been discussed on the DT vs. Law thread a while ago  :lol).

I'm not sure why this is so hard to grasp, as it's been said over and over again, but I'll repeat it once again here:
1.  There is no law suit.  None.
2.  There are no legal reasons why songs penned by MP cannot be played.  None.
3.  IF the band has decided not to play them (and that's a big "if" that we have no evidence of), the only likely reason I can come up with is, again, they are still working out rights relating to Mike, and it is easier to work out all the other stuff if they just leave songs alone for now that he may feel emotionally attached to.  IF this is the case (and we're just speculating if we assume that it is), there is no reason any of those songs won't come back in the future--with the exception of the fact that they may simply just decide not to play certain ones just because it feels weird playing them without him.  (TBOT, for example)

James hinted in an recent interview that they'll be opening with Bridges In The Sky. Which pleases me.

Let's see....

Bridges In The Sky
Build Me Up, Break Me Down
Under A Glass Moon
These Walls
Forsaken
Endless Sacrifice
Outcry
Caught In A Web
Through My Words
Fatal Tragedy
The Great Debate
On The Backs Of Angels
====
Far From Heaven
Breaking All Illusions

Kept most of the songs from this summer because North American audiences haven't seen them yet. Took out The Count Of Tuscany (and a couple others) to make room for the new songs.

I expect that for their inevitable DVD later on next year, the setlist will look similar to this as well, though probably (hopefully!) in an expanded "An Evening With" format...

I don't know, it's very likely that I phrased my post very wrong, but what you say is exactly what I meant. I said I was not hinting at the supposed legal issues between the MP and band as the primary reason for the latter's choice of leaving out certain songs for the same reasons you explain in point 1 and 2.

When I said that "there's more that has been said" I meant exactly what you said in point 3. The overall message of my post was that in my opinion the band may judge (and we are still moving in the realm of speculation) times to be still to come to bring those songs back. Hence my post.

Let's try keeping it simpler:

Opening Song:  Bridges in the Sky

Last Song:  Metropolis 1

Encore 1:  Breaking All Illusions

Encore 2:  Beneath the Surface (with JP on an actual acoustic guitar)
