It's only $3. I might just buy that for now. Plus, I'm loving the free version so far. This is really fucking cool.
I felt its length in quite a few places.

Here's one more question - How do I get back to my original homescreen/dock/launcher while in LauncherPro? I'm looking for a setting right now, but not sure where it is.

EDIT: Never mind, I got it.

Use HomeSwitcher, if you're not already.

FYI, if you have widgets left on your stock launcher while trying to use LauncherPro, it will screw up your widgets in LP.

Yeah, after a lot of toying around I've decided I'll come back to this soon. Some of the widgets I seem to lose access to in LP, and that's a tad disappointing. But overall, it's really nice.

Anyone have a good app for organizing the contacts sensibly (i.e. by last name)?  I still can't believe Moto took this option out of Froyo.  They must think we're all 9-yr old girls.

Does anyone else use the Skyfire browser? It's the best one I've used so far (Inc. Default, Opera and Dolphin). The only problem is the amount of storage it needs for history. Need to clear it every few days as it's up to ~7meg

They're still only in beta though as far as I'm aware (although it runs like a full version) so hopefully an update will sort it out.

I use it when I'm going to webpages that have Flash videos, it works great for that.

That's the reason I download it in the first place, it just took over as my main browser after that.

The wireless tether app on the market requires root.  What's so ouch about that?

no need to root, when you download easytether on your comp and phone and hook them up with usb cable, you are good to go.

How?  What kind of phone do you have?

Yes, that works and is free, but by rooting, you can do it wirelessly.  Your phone actually broadcasts a wireless signal.  I have the original Moto Droid, btw.

well i am using my evo for 4g connection, so that eats up all the battery to begin with so having it hooked to my pc for power is advantageous for me. wireless is not really important since i don't use it daily just on trips.

HTC Desire.

Unless your phone has had functionality taken away by your provider, then any phone with Android 2.2 should be able to do wireless/wired tethering without having to download any app.

That's the case with Verizon, which I assume Chino has since he has a Droid X.

both sprint and verizon charge their gullible customers for it, but they don't have the legal basis for stopping circumventions.

Mobile carriers in the US, from what I've heard, are awful.

Sigz told me recently that you have to pay to receive phone calls etc. :S

Yeah, but I hardly ever make phone calls.  I wish I had a 10 minute a month option to save money.  I do have a Google Voice number and their app on my phone so I don't pay anything for texts, which is awesome.
