I just installed TouchDown as my email client (got a free license from Motorola, due to notification issues in their native Exchange client).  Absolutely loving it.  Pulls in email, calender AND tasks.  Any advantage Blackberry had in the email department is now obliterated.

Cozmo:

https://www.engadget.com/2010/08/26/verizon-pushing-droid-update-for-flash-10-1-compatibility/

Quote
You might recall that Verizon and Motorola's first go-around at pushing Android 2.2 to the original Droid didn't include compatibility with the Flash 10.1 install in the Market -- but don't worry, lovers of Flash-based web ads, because the fix is now upon us. We don't know exactly how long the rollout process is going to take, but you know how it goes with Android OTA updates: even if they try to stretch it over several weeks, there's usually an update.zip floating around within a few hours that you can grab if you want to accelerate the process just a bit. Here's the full statement from Verizon:
"Verizon Wireless has begun pushing an update today to the DROID by Motorola (introduced November 2009) that will allow customers to download Adobe Flash 10.1 via Android Market. Flash Player 10.1 provides access to millions of sites with rich content including animations, casual games, videos, rich internet applications, audio and much more."

Excellent.  Thanks!  I'll keep my eye on the Market for an update.

My phone is making me mad.  I can't access my marketplace for some reason.  There is an alert that says there was a network error while trying to sign into my gmail account, and it won't let me sign in.

I had that the other day. Rebooting my phone seemed to fix it. I think it was a Wi-Fi problem my end though rather than the marketplace/gmail

I love my Droid X, and I'm sure I will love it even more once (the official) Froyo drops for it.

I have verizon and have been thinking of going with the droid, but my bill is so ridiculous with just talk and text.  How much are you guys paying?  It would end up being about $120/mo at least with unlimited data.

I have Verizon and I receive an 18% discount on my monthly bill as a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania employee (I also get 25% off accessories) - Have you checked to see if your employer participates in VZW's discount program?  Check here:

https://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/employee/emaildomainauthentication.jsp

On my Droid, I have (I think) 450 minutes, unlimited in-network texts (50 out of network, I think), and the unlimited data plan and it comes to around $84 a month after the discount.

We get a 15% discount with my wife's employment as a public school teacher. My Droid X plan is 450 minutes, unlimited Verizon calling, unlimited nights and weekends, unlimited text/pic and unlimited data. Without tax and discounts, it's about $89.98 a month. I have never even come close to using all 450 of my minutes.

I just got a droid 2. Pretty neat so far. Not as user friendly as my blackberry, but I'm getting used to it.

Get the emulators. Gameboid, PSX4Droid etc.

For other games, there's RoboDefense (which is a tower defense game).
Alchemy
ExZeus Arcade
Paper Toss (:neverusethis:)
Poke a Mole
Angry Birds Lite Beta
Replica Island (sort of Mario style game)
Trap
Raging Thunder
Armageddon Squadron

I'm sure there's others but I haven't really been using it for games lately (can never be bother because I just use the emulators :neverusethis:)

nope, Skype is horrible at sticking to things they promise. I remember when they said there was a blackberry app was coming, never happened, then Skype for android, nope.

Now they have it for verizon subscribers but I wouldn't know since I'm on T-Mobile.

Personally, I mainly chat with clients on my skype account so the skype lite beta is fine, but VOIP calls would be nice.

It's awesome! I've currently got the first 3 (or 2.7 ish) seconds of About to Crash (Reprise) as my message tone and 5:12 - 5:27 of Anesthetize (PT) as my Ringtone!

Any suggestions would be welcome though.
