I've offered Dave Mustaine a bite of my hot dog.

All of Dream Theater, Dark Tranquillity, and couple guys from Protest the Hero. Also, Johann from Amon Amarth. That's about all I can remember.

Can now add:
Peter Dolving, Anders Bjorler, Jonas Bjorler, Patrik Jensen, Per Moller Jensen (The Haunted)

Really, really great, down to earth guys. They were so chilled at the show and were really good humoured about the fact there was barely anyone there. Let us all get on stage as well!

Winger can play circles around most of the musicians you enjoy listening to. If you wouldn't be so thick-headed about it, you'd know that.   :lol

I met Kenny G in the pit at the Opeth show last month.

:omg:  Are you serious??  I never would have pegged him for being an Opeth fan.

As for my list, a few, but not a lot.  Here's what I can recall:

Queensryche - Geoff Tate, Michael Wilton, Eddie Jackson, Scott Rockenfield

Lacuna Coil - Andrea Ferro, Cristiano Migliore, Marco Coti Zelati

King's X - Doug Pinnick, Ty Tabor, Jerry Gaskill

Y&T (past and present members) - Dave Meniketti, Phil Kennemore, Joey Alves, Leonard Haze, Stef Burns (yes, the same guy who was in Alice Cooper, Huey Luis & the News, etc.), Mike Vanderhule, John Nymann (I think I also met Jimmy DeGrasso at one point, but I don't recall for certain whether we actually spoke or just passed by each other at a show)

Transatlantic - Neal Morse, Roine Stolt, Mike Portnoy, Pete Trawevas, Daniel Gildenlowe (also met Neal's drummer, Colin, who was serving as TA's tour manager at the time)

Britney Fox - Michael Kelly Smith

Jeff Scott Soto

Dave Meniketti Band - Myron Dove, Chris Miller, Tony Stead

I also emailed Charlie Dominicci a bunch for a while, but never met him face to face

I'll never thought I'd see Cliff's name ever again, it's like rumpelstiltskin.  Say his name 3 times and Brian Johnson gurgles at you.

I remember him saying that after the show. I had the same reaction as you.

I shudder at Kenny G's music...

My wife likes him a lot, so I've become familiar through the years.  Not my cup of tea generally, but I can still appreciate what he does.  I took her to one of his shows a few years back and he walked by us.  He is really a tiny man.

Buffy Sainte-Marie (probably most famous for writing "Up Where We Belong"; she's an old friend of my dad's)

Steven Spence (drummer/keys for Black Tide; chatted with him and bought a couple t-shirts off him at their merch stand at Warped Tour last year)

Max Green and Bryan Money (bassist and guitarist respectively for Escape the Fate; talked with them at their merch stand at Warped Tour last year)

I feel like I'm forgetting a few... but I don't know who...

No one really famous. If stretched to "bands fairly known around here and that I'm a fan of" - only Riverside as a whole. I still can't forgive myself that there's a lot of things I'd want to tell/ask them but was completely confused and nearly speechless then. :\
