I've met Paul Masvidal of Cynic.  That's it.  One of these days I'll be a massive fanboy and wait at the back of the venue to meet the band.

I used to work music retail, so I got a lot of backstage passes, and some in-store appearances I used to work.  So "meeting" someone famous backstage is different from being able to sit down and talk with them.
Backstage, I had met all the members of Kansas, Yes, Styx, and a couple of others not worth even mentioning.
But at in-stores, I've had extended conversations with a few members of Kansas, Steve Howe, Yngwie Malmsteen and Joe Lynn Turner.  Joe Lynn was a very cool guy.
You can lead a horticulture, but you can't make her think.

The only "famous" musicians I've met are members of Christian bands Newsong and DecembeRadio.  Very cool guys.

All of DT at a Meet 'n' Greet last year. I'd hardly call it meeting them though, it wasn't that great.

Steven Wilson, Richard Barbieri, John Wesley, Colin Edwin (Porcupine Tree)

Mikael Akerfedlt (Opeth)

Also, I saw Paul Gilbert in the street once. IN THE UK
Damn, he is TALL

My favourite was sitting down and having a 30 minute chat with Steven Wilson. I still can't quite believe I did that, but I did and it was phenomenal.

Aside from that, I've had good long phone calls with Jem Godfrey and Derek Sherinian, Jem Godfrey of whom especially was fantastic.

I've met Heather Findlay and Bryan Josh of Mostly Autumn, as well as a bunch of other members - all very fun people. Heather especially.

In a more "meet and greety" capacity, I won't list them all but Therion, Kamelot and Orphaned Land were particularly cool. Therion especially - Mats Leven is an astonishingly nice bloke.

Yadda yadda yadda. There are others, but they're the ones I enjoyed most.

I've met MP 5 or 6 times, Jordan twice, and the two Johns once, but LaBrie eludes me.

Had a nice chat with Petrucci at an in store, and I exchanged a word or two with Myung as well. I hung out with Tom Gabel after one of his solo shows for a god 20-30 minutes which was nice. That's about it... for now.
