I honestly don't remember exactly how I came across it, but the first song I heard that Dio was in was Heaven and Hell, I immediately loved his voice and got into his other stuff.

I bought a 'best of Rainbow' CD years back. I believe that was the first.

My first album featuring Dio was Sabbath's Mob Rules in 1981. Then in April 1982 I saw Sabbath live. It was only my third concert, and my first metal show.

Awesome!  they had some strange opening acts on that tour. Up here in the northeast, I remember The Outlaws were opening.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

Long Live Rock and Roll...from there I worked my way backwards through the Dio Era Rainbow

I was a huge fan of the Rods as well...when I found out Dio sang with David from the Rod's in Elf I immediately went out and found that album as well

Yes, it was the Outlaws who opened for them at the show I saw in Vancouver. It was an odd pairing.

I got Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow and Holy Diver at the same time for Christmas several years ago.  Needless to say I was instantly hooked by his powerful voice.

The Rods were very cool. Gary and Carl play on Jack Starr's Out Of The Darkness with Rhett Forrester, one of my favorite albums!
