Review.
It's awesome, I got it for such a good price (£1300 new) and it has all the add ons; piezo, matching headstock, shield inlays. The piezo sounds magic when blended with the pickups, just like petruccis cleans on the album where he overdubs an acoustic guitar. Metal tones are great, very bright and i love the neck pickup too, where pinch harmonics come as easily as on the bridge pickup.
It's all the details which make the guitar great, such as locking tuners, rubber grips on the volume and tone knobs, the sparkly glitter in the finish and the versatile outputs (stereo or mono, for going to two different amps).
The bridge is FANTASTIC. I come from the ibanez world of having to go through a good bit of kerfuffle to change strings, which i had kind of got used to, but still disliked. This has experienced some serious whammy abuse from me already, at it stays in tune perfectly. This is even better when I don't have to unlock stuff to change strings, which has come in use already.....
...Now of course I am an idiot so I unscrewed the locking thing on the high E to see what would happen (i have not had locking tuners before) and lo and behold the string flew out, because it didn't have many turns on the machine head. I didn't have a spare 10 so i stuck a 9 on it, which took less than a minute.
Overall thoroughly recommend, especially if you play lots of different genres.
