[Death Metal] Fleshgod Apocalypse
« on: May 24, 2009, 02:27:53 AM »
Anyone check these guys out yet?  Fuck.

Absolutely brutal death metal.  They only have one album out plus some demos, but it's some of the most in-your-face metal I've ever heard.

Oracles, that album, is easily top 5 of the year for me so far.  If you like Opeth, Bloodbath, Enslaved, SikTh, etc... You need to try this band.

Mr. Neccy, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent post were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this board is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I remember listening to a single from it off of Metalsucks a few weeks ago and it was absolutely crushing, but I haven't given the album a spin yet.  I might be seeing them in September when they support Decapitated. :metal

I am stunned at how good the new Fleshgod Apocalypse is. Their debut was pretty good, but this one is a quantum leap over it in improvement. In theory, Dimmu Borgir-esque orchestrations and crushing death metal shouldn't work together, but it practice it's amazing. Right up there with Obscura and Origin for death metal CD of the year for me.

Yup. I'm in love with this album, either this or the new Septic Flesh is my Metal album of the year so far.

Sweet technical death metal band.

A combination of Abigail Williams and The Faceless, kind of.
