6. Sad, but seriously, how sad can really fast arpegios be?
MAN FUCK YOU KUJA.
The Darklord is amazing
(For instance, don't forget the recent example where MP showed how he provided the primary guitar riff in ARoP)
Correction: MP is the leader. He may not write as much of the music as JP and JR, but he leads the band.(For instance, don't forget the recent example where MP showed how he provided the primary guitar riff in ARoP)
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.
Its really depressing, I remember once being on a bus and listening to it while looking in the window. Its one of the songs that remind you how powerful DT can be!I rated 9, because if i rated 10 that would mean i cried or commited suicide...what didnīt actually happen.
Setra, I think that is the best statement I have read on this forum. Very well said.
Only here is where i hear people call the keyboard part clown music.

It has the potential of being a good "sad" song. Possibly a 5 of 10.However, the sad circus/clown keyboard that pops up every now and then absolutely ruins it, totally and irreparably. So, I gave it a 1.

There's nothing wrong with the phase/delay patch sound. It'd be cool to see JR use it inn the future.
Pretty sad compared to most of DT's work.

As a basic rule, if you hate it, you must solely blame Portnoy. If it's good, then you must downplay MP's contribution to the band as not being important anyway, or claim he's just lying. It's the DTF way.

While I'm not at liberty to share the MP3 he e-mailed, I can confirm it is him singing into his phone (he left himself a voice mail) of the main guitar riff from ARoP.
I heard his vocal sections on ANTR were written in a similar way, though they involved a toilet instead of a phone.
I don't know if I'd call it circus keyboards, but I agree that it's distracting
