Oh hai, Rust In Peace is the best them. K bye.
I imagined the story to go more like this.

I was sitting a traffic light blaring Space Dye Vest and next to me in another car was Kevin Moore. And I'll never be open again.

Is it just me, or is the mix on Countdown to Extinction just mid-scooped and over-compressed to death?

You must have the Remixed & Remastered version from 2004 with the bonus tracks. I have both original and 2004 versions

Ahh. But over-compressed means dynamics compression like they used on the R&R. Lots of it, but it doesn't make that shit. Sounds like a well produced album like they were going for.

MEGADETH SURVIVOR IS GOING SO GET YOUR ASSES VOTING PEOPLE  :metal

Don't let this be like my Judas Priest survivor where only 4-5 people vote.  :tdwn

Rest assured, I'll be there.

I suppose.  The mid scoopiness is absolutely inexcusable though.

The acoustic build up in Good Mourning/Black Friday is still one of the most epic things Megadeth has ever done  :metal

Its 3:30am, I bought the Mustaine biography at 9:00pm and have been reading it since, just finished it.  Man, I really enjoyed it, what an amazing journey that man's had.

:tup pretty much.

Its pretty interesting reading Dave's account of things and seeing how much it differs from stuff thats already been on the net, whether it be wikipedia or whatever (bad example I know).  MINI SPOILER:  I thought it was pretty lol that he considered his Cemetary Gates solo a very proud moment.  Hahahahaha.  If it meant so much to him he could've put a little thought behind it....

That's unbelievably fast! It's a lengthy book but the pages are finished fast due to the font size I think.

Haha yeah it is pretty big.  I dunno, its just one of those books I suppose, a compelling read.  Especially for a fan.  Although my little brother and my wife were both getting into what they read from it, and they don't even like metal let alone Megadeth.

Megadeth's quintessential, archetypal, masterpiece of an album is definitely Rust In Peace. Everything about it kicks ass. In second place would be Peace Sells...But Who's Buying?. I'd be happy if those were the only two Megadeth albums I could listen to ever again.

Did anyone buy the MD.45 album with Mustaine, DeGrasso, Lee Ving and some other dude?  I thought it was interesting that in the biography Mustaine admits to replacing Vings vocals and harmonica parts with his own vocals and guitar in a bid to get more Megadeth fans interested in the album, yet for years he had told the fans that he had 'lost' the master tapes with Vings parts :lol  Makes you wonder how often fans are given false information for that kind of thing.  I thought the same could be the case with the remaster tracks on RiP with different vocal takes, but if anything those takes are worse than the original.

Those aren't all of the songs off the album.

Rust In Peace has to be the best. Here's why: Peace Sells had another cover, and with AND without the cover it has a shorter running time than Rust In Peace. Oh I didn't mention they wrote and recorded that album sober. What a strong effort.

UPON MY PODIUM AS THE
KNOW IT ALL SCHOLAR
DOWN IN MY SEAT OF JUDGMENT
GAVELS BAND UPHOLD THE LAW
UP ON MY SOAPBOX A LEADER
OUT TO CHANGE THE WORLD
DOWN IN MY PULPIT AS THE HOLIER
THAN THOU COULD BE MESSENGER OF GOD

That has to be one of the most metal sections of a metal song ever.

Pretty much.  That riff + The vocal delivery is stellar.  Megadeth called it a Gavel in 1990 and Metalllica calle it a 'Judgement Hammer' on KEA.  Not until St Anger did they call it a gavel in 'Dirty Window'.

NOW TELL ME WHO IS SMARTER?!

But seriously, I was watching that live on The Big 4 and reminded me of when I saw it live and it really is just a sick section of a song.
