Have you guys heard this? Yikes!

Oh God, his voice is not suited to that type of song. I think I'll go on a Megadeth binge to make up for it.

That was painful to hear, can't believe his producer or even sound engineer didn't say something to make him change his mind about this heh

Another bump for the Megadeth thread.

So I finally got around to downloading ... buying.... Final Cut Express and decided to give multitrack an attempt.

Behold the She-Wolf instrumental section yay

Nothing short of awesome, great choice of instrumental section to do this with, great timing and you've done a fine job with the multi tracker, loved it.

Endgame is the best album from Megadeth since Youthanasia. Hands down.

Whoever said Youthanasia has Mustaine's best vocals, you're spot-on. Totally agree.

Cryptic Writings is easily his best vocals. They are more mature sounding and aren't too whiny (I don't mind the whiny sounding vocals at all either), yet still have Mustaine's characteristics.

This is a good example:

I think my favorite Megadeth vocals are on Endgame. Dave's voice just sounds so much fuller than previous album, which kind of had a little bit of emptiness to the sound of his voice (not the lyrical content, just his voice).

Eh, he's kinda talking more than he is singing on Endgame.

I'd say his voice is pretty consistent throughout his career. Can't think of any bad places really.

Not really a fan of the vocals on SFSG..SW myself.  Listening to In My Darkest Hour yesterday, the vox were the only bad thing about it.  But in other parts of that album he sounds fantastic.

I was referring to the whole album. I don't like that album at all. Everything about it falls flat for me, the vocals included.

The World Needs A Hero is probably the worst overall effort, but the title track and Recipe For Hate were pretty cool. 1000 Times Goodbye has some humour value to it especially when you sing along.
Dread and The Fugitive Mind is freaking awesome.

Recipe for Hate, 1000TG, The title track and DATFM are very good. Promises is also a great song and would be better if it didn't had that unfitting guitar solo that comes from nowhere and goes nowhere. I still consider it the worst effort Megadeth has put to date.

And now for something a little bit different: THE WOOOOOOORLLLD NEEEEEEEEEEDS A HEEEEEEERRROOOO

The World Needs a Hero was the last Megadeth album I heard (couldn't find it ANYWHERE), and it's one of my favorites. Losing My Senses is a pretty boring song, but the rest of the album is unequivocal win.
Orion....that's the one with a bunch of power chords and boringly harsh vocals, isn't it?

It doesn't parody songs. Dave Mustaine fully intended for it to sound like Am I Evil?. He even talked to Sean Harris about it, I think (Or maybe it was Brian Tatler. I can't remember).

I find it funny that Metallica and Megadeth "used" it on some way, and that Megadeth blatanly rips off "Enter Sandman" in that song as well.

Mustaine's vocals are as big of a part of Megadeth's sound as the music they played....as soon as you heard it you knew it was Megadeth....I have no problem with his vocals on any of the albums.....

As far as his vocals on my Darkest Hour I have no problem's I actually feel very connected to the song and his vocals

Mustaine wrote that intro to Ktulu.
Touche on that one, I can't argue (although my point is that it sounds like something Metallica did... which I'm not saying is bad, I'm just saying it).

Where does it sound like Enter Sandman?
My mistake, maybe it's another song on the album that sounds like the prayer part of "Enter Sandman"
