Eh, could be worse.

Nah, I think it's a fine title. Better that 13 with inverted letters and numbers.

Hey, he could still change his mind and go with 'Super Coll1d4r'.

Well, Thirteen (<- written like that) is actually not that bad. TH1RT3EN is pretty pathetic, you're right, but just because the previous one sucked doesn't mean this one should either, should it?

Anyway, I don't really care at this point. Cases were an album title somehow makes my appreciation of an album suffer are few and far between, I'd almost say that they don't exist, so if the music is good, you won't hear me complaining. I hope it's a step up from Thirteen, though, which reached extremely high highs (the title track, for instance), it also contains some of Megadeth's all-time lows.

Definitely more excited for this than for the new Metallica though!

@Hayden: I suppose, but to me it seems a little like "Let's give this whole thing a really epic name! ololol". Worse, it doesn't sound like Megadeth to me, but like, I don't know, a space-power-metal band that writes songs about intergalactic battles using antimatter beams or something like that.

... What the fuck did Dave smoke to come up with such a title.

+1

I'm not really interested about the new album. Not buying it the day it's released.

I lost interest with Megadeth since the last two disappointing albums.  I'll check this one though, you never know what the boys may dish up.

Really, ANY title will seem like an improvement over the last. I'm fine with this one.

I can understand that sentiment with Thirteen, but why do you consider Endgame to be disappointing?

Endgame is fucking amazing. Best Megadeth album since Rust in Peace, easily.

This is honestly the first time I ever recall anyone saying they had a problem with the last album title.  I quite liked it, actually.

I wouldn't go that far, because Youthanasia and Countdown to Extinction are still a notch above it, but you're right that it's an amazing album. It also contains some of my favourite Megadeth songs, like 44 Minutes or The Right to Go Insane.

JRundquist: Exactly that's my problem with the title. It's so hard for me to take seriously.

I agree as well. I like every song on the album and the only other Megadeth albums that I can really say that about are RIP, Peace Sells and KIMB. Countdown is awesome but there are a few weaker tracks on it imo.

My top 5...

1. Rust In Peace
2. Peace Sells
3. KIMB...
4. Endgame
5. Countdown

Really tough decision to give Countdown the nod over SFSGSW, but Countdown has a few deal breaker tracks like Ashes In Your Mouth, This Was My Life. Ashes is easily a top 10 Megadeth song for me.  :metal

I didn't know that bosk is a Risk fan too. But cool to see some love. Dave said, that if the album had been put out under a different, many people would have loved it.

I just don't really like thrash outside Sepultura. There are good songs there and there, but those mad Brazilians are the only ones who have been able to put out albums that have great songs overall.

Having a hard time to put them in any kind of order... So no ranking really, just my top five.

So Far So Good
Cryptic Writings
The system Has Failed
Countdown to Extinction
Peace Sells

PS, I want Dave to get a new lineup. He can keep Ellefson, but the guitar work on the last few albums is plain boring. Nobody can fill Marty Friedman's shoes anyway, so he should at least entertain us with a fresh lineup on every album.

I agree.  Chris is technically brilliant, but I just find his lead playing boring, uninspirational and without personality.  Loved Drover but Chris joining I think is a big reason why I didn't dig the last two.

Yup, that's what I think too.

I love Al Pitrelli's work on TWNAH, I would have liked to keep him.

Not sure how new or old the show was, but I caught the Guitar Center Sessions with them at parents over the past weekend.

Not actively being into them anymore, seeing the program reminded me how much I like "Angry Again".

CW is now #2 on my Megadeth list behind RIP  :metal

CW is dead last on my list. It's still a decent album, but a lot of the songs don't have that spark that a good Megadeth song has. Trust and She-Wolf are fantastic though.
