Seeing as my Slayer fandom is but in its proto-stage, I could take that, as long as Megadeth delivers.

Of course, optimally they would rock out with their (figurative) cocks out :metal

Oh yes, Megadeth WILL delivers!! :metal Dave is a fucking awesome frontman. He really seems happy with what he's doing and definitely looks like he's having an awesome time just as much as the audience/fans are.

I'd rate the performance I was at 9/10!

Sorry for breaking up the concert talk, but it was starting to lean toward Slayer news in the Megadeth thread.

One of the things I love about Megadeth is the Dave uses his music to make social commentary and manages to make it non-preachy (most of the time).  When I was young, I appriciated his shredding, as an adult, I've come to find Dave is pretty sharp guy I respect intellectually.

And Endgame is awesome.

I spent a lot of time at The Realms of Deth when I was younger.  Google it.  Its got some awesome Megadeth-related stuff, song commentaries, interviews blah blah.  Sadly, they stopped updating it after Rude Awakening was released.  But its still a good read.

Ah yeah, I remember reading that back when I frequented the Megadeth forums.

I didn't know you're a fan of Megadeth GL. Planning on going to Canadian Carnage?

I was thinking about it for a while, but I'm not really much of a fan of the other bands playing so I couldn't justify spending all that money on a ticket. I'll see Megadeth some day.

I'm going to Megafest with Protest the Hero on the 26th though, what about you?

Fair enough. Part of the reason I didn't go and see Disturbed a couple months back.

I was talking to Space Invader, yeah. I think I will go. I'll buy my ticket next paycheck - it's 24.50 at the store and 30 at the door, right?

Right, but with taxes and fees and whatnot it comes to $29. SI and I are going with three other friends and we just picked up out tickets today.

Actually they have added alot of US shows but nothing in the Northeast yet.....I don't understand why people in the New England states think the world evolves around them and yes I am a northeasterner....let some other cities have their fun first...they will eventually get to us

Endgame (the song) has one of the coolest intros of any Megadeth songs I find. Perfect use of spoken word (or perhaps it's a sample?), the intro riffs sets the tone for a very dystopian reality, and Dave's voice fits that mood absolutely perfectly. I can't stop listening to it :heart

Listening to Endgame for the first time.  Sounds amazing.  Andy Sneap is the master of the metal sound.

Fixed.

(1) Nick was phenominal, but Jimmy is twice the drummer Nick was.
(2) "Nick was."  He can't play anymore.  That's why he left/was asked to leave.  His injury prevented him from continuing to play drums.  Why would you want someone back in your band who can no longer play his instrument?

x2.

I am somewhat biased towards him though because a) I'm a drummer and b) he plays the same way as me (left hand on the high hat, right hand for snare)
on par with the anguish one would have from getting unconsensually bent over and buttloved.

Maybe this time Megadeth will keep a lineup for more than one album. Naaaaaah. ;)

This reminds me.  I had a dream that I was riding around my neighbourhood with Dave Mustaine.  I met him at his house and I had to give him back the door to his Toyota Hi-ace van (?) and then I jumped into his pick-up truck and he proceeded to drive me home.  While we were driving along I asked him where he got the idea for Lucretia from, and we were chatting and stuff, blahblah, then when I looked up I saw that he had stopped the truck outside my mother-in-law's house and I was all like "Dave Mustaine!  This is not my house lol!" then he realised too and we laughed together.  Then he took me to my real house.

Wow, Ellefson's back.  Thats cool.  Feel sorry for Lomenzo though, he was pretty kewl himself.

I'm not sorry for Lomenzo I got banned from the Megadeth forums a few days after he joined the band cause he didn't like me saying he looks like a trucker. and I've been banned since then until I recently registered a new account.
I pretty much didn't like that junior was gone, I got de-modded -but not banned- from the official metallica forums for similar reasons with Trujillo in 2003 hehe
I don't take line-up changes in my favorite bands very well, its my fault.
