I don't think I stressed this enough:
Countdown To Extinction > Youthanasia

This

This
Cole: "Ow I just got hit in the balls"
Me: "How?"
Cole: "Well you know when you try to scratch your balls, and you scratch too hard?
I'll admit sometimes I want to listen to Dragonforce.

Well I just listened to Youthanasia, it's got more weaker tracks than Countdown. Around the first 10 tracks are the only worthy ones, I'm not sure about the title track though. Aren't all title tracks meant to be pretty good?
I actually like all the tracks on Countdown, so Countdown To Extinction > Youthanasia.

Indeed.

Yeah, pretty much this.
I felt its length in quite a few places.

I love the chorus, I think its one of the best set of lyrics Mustaine ever wrote.

I have the same amp :metal Even hearing the first 10 seconds of this songs makes me remember all the times I had fun listening to this song. The guitar tone is spot on, the playing is well rehearsed for sure and you have that King V restrung for your lefty playing style?! Looks like the controls would get in your way of playing. I have a Rhoads and the controls are a bit low for me but hey they're fun as shit to play :tup

Btw my line in is sorta fucked up, I need some tips to make the recording sound hi-fi and stereo again. For some reason it's shit as.

Didn't check them out entirely, but I've heard some of their famous songs(Hangar 18, Peace Sells, Symphony of Destruction...) and for me at least, Metallica is much more attracting. It's probably because I prefer James' vocal.

btw Metallica here is defined as [Kill 'em All - Black Album].

Yep, it's restrung to be lefty. I got this guitar when I was just starting my second year of my fifth of playing. At first, I was really worried about the knobs and switch being in my way. I somehow figured out how to work around them. My next guitar will be a lefty version of JP's 7 sring. I'm excited to have such a phenomenal guitar on top of it actually being made for me. :lol

Youthanasia may not be their best, but I've always held the opinion that Dave's vocals have never been better than they are on that album.

So very true!  His voice is majestic on that album.  The vocal performance and production Addicted to Chaos is amazing.

Metallica Fans should also get into Exodus' Bonded By Blood. It's sounds much more like Metallica than Megadeth's music does.

Well, I'm in class so this is off the top of my head. I'm changing my crunchy distortion tone all the time.

Insane (red model)
Drive 60%
Bass 40%
Mid 30%
Treb 60%
Channel volume always at 55% or so
... ish
Also, no effects or reverb

Good to see Hero being loved, but unfortunately your ranking is incorrect.

My absolute favorite tone (as of now):
Insane (red)
Drive 100%
Bass 100%
Mid 30%
Treb 100&
Channel Volume 100%
Slight touch of delay.

I need to try out your tone though, sounds like it could be pretty crunchy.

Also, Endgame > The World Needs a Hero > United Abominations >>>> The System Has Failed

Endgame is the best album from Megadeth since Youthanasia. Hands down.

Whoever said Youthanasia has Mustaine's best vocals, you're spot-on. Totally agree.

I'm with you Youthanasia but The System Has Failed is by far the best Megadeth album since then.
Endgame is good but that collection of songs VS The Scorpion, Blackmail The Universe, Die Dead Enough, Kick The Chair and Kingdom of Deth, lyrically, arrangement wise and riff composition are flawless heavy metal songs in my book, I can't find 4 flawless songs on Endgame frankly, there are awesome bits here and there and there're a couple of well thought near flawless songs like Endgame and The Right To Go Insane but nothing that really stands up to the songs on The System Has Failed.

Gimme a break man, these songs are cool but none of them stand up to the heavy melodic and amazing arrangements on TSHF, the lyrical content! I feel I don't even have to day this, just listen to the songs I mentioned and the ones you mentioned and no doubt you'll see my point.

Ok so I've almost finished listening to Risk because I do remember some people talking about it in here.

I think it is a good album, better than ReLoad and some of Load (did I really have to compare now?) but I still fucken love Killing Is My Business, Peace Sells, and Rust In Peace. So Far, So Good and Countdown have some good parts and moments too. Megadeth still deliver for me.
