i hope the new album is pretty good.

On Wikipedia it says,

As for the CD, I can’t believe the way the whole thing came together. It has a unique and original sound that I don’t think could have come together with any other group of people. From Dave’s snarling vocals, to James’ huge bass sound and Shawn’s dead accurate drumming it is just relentless, and with Andy producing, it focused the sound and direction of the CD. I feel lucky to be a part of it, for one thing it definitely did, was make me expand and play in different styles. I can’t wait for the release, and I hope all of you find something in it you like."[89] On May 27 2009, Dave Mustaine confirmed all 12 songs are complete and they are currently mixing and mastering the record.

Killing Is My Business has got to be one of the best old school thrash albums. Ever. And it's my favourite Megadeth album as well.

Its Countdown for me eh.  And Youthanasia a close second.  Though I enjoy Rust in Peace, Peace Sell, etc I kind of prefer the less-thrashier stuff.  But Wake Up Dead and Devils Island are probably my 2 favourite deth songs.

Megadeth > Metallica

:neverusethis:

They are on 2 completely different levels.

Dave just has too much talent for even being compared to any member of Metallica.

Not to even mention all his current and former band mates... all monster musicians.

Metallica has become a cult thing over the years for the style and some of their song themes... hats off for this. James Hetfield is a really talented song writer, singer and guitarist... he had the "misfortune" of having Kirk Hammett in his band. Can you imagine if he had someone like Petrucci in the band?
But again, Megadeth are on a different level. Their musicality is just unmatchable.

There are a few groups that I love all their work besides DT. And one of them is Magadeth.  Mustaine is incredible and I like Friedman solos, so….
I wouldn’t ever compare them with Metallica, never…
Imo their every piece is adorable.  But these stick out:

Holy Wars
Hangar 18
Reckoning Day
Tornado of Souls
Five Magics(Especially the intro)
High Speed Dirt
Truth Be Told
Skin O’ My Teeth
This Was My Life
Never Walk Alone
Peace Sells
Blood of Heroes
Countdown to Extinction
The Scorpion
Die Dead Enough
Family Tree
Washington is Nest
Train of Consequences

Megadeth has a remarkably strong discography, although it isn't as satisfying as Metallica's. Rust in Peace is ridiculously good though.

I think I'm the only person in the world who think Killing Is My Business is just a mediocre album. Dave's vocals are just ugh, I can't stand them on that album. That being said, Rust In Peace, Peace Sells But Who's Buying, and Countdown are three of the greatest thrash albums of all time. :metal :metal

And don't even get me started on the Metallica/Megadeth debate.

Yeah, let's not get started on Metallica/Megadeth thing. Let's just say, Megadeth wouldn't exist without Metallica and leave it at that.

Rust in Peace, Peace Sell... But Who's Buying are two of the best thrash albums of all time.

Fucking awesome band, love Daves vocals and the amazing musicianship as well. I love whole 'Deths discography expect for the later albums starting from "The Worlds needs a hero". Havent got in to those albums yet but I have high hopes for "Endgame". Cool cover and nice album title and track titles, flies and prisoners? The humans walking into the meat machine like a flock of sheep, nice.

It's more mature than the UA cover art, I thought that UA looked like a power metal/prog. metal band's type of art that wrote about politics instead.

Dave better be right about this album being "the best thing they've made since Rust In Peace". I mean come on, Countdown and CW were pretty good imo. I hope Endgame is as good as he says!
