Cool! :tup Just remember that In a Flesh Aquarium can take a while to grow on you...It's far from an accessible album :lol

FAKE EDIT: Listening to Clayman right now! :metal

So Clayman was pretty good. Nothing earth-shattering but great melodic death metal or whatever it's called. I'll need to listen to it more to have a better impression but so far I like it!

I love their first 5 albums. Whoracle is a "melodeath" milestone.

Clayman took me quite a few listens to really get in touch with it.  Keep listening and the songs will grow on you.

Clayman was my first IF album and it clicked pretty much instantly. Colony took a while to grow on me but ended up becoming just as good.

Whoracle is good, but there are a few pretty boring songs on it. On a par with ASoP on the whole.

I was looking for this thread yesterday but I couldn't find it for some reason.

Anyway, while doing some revision for my Java module, I was looking through some old coursework that I had handed in and noticed that I had accidentally left a JDialog class called "JDialogwiththestars" :neverusethis:

I probably lost a mark for that too :lol

Clayman clicked with me very fast too. Colony has become my favorite, although at first I thought Whoracle and Clayman are better.

Wow, surprising, so Bjorn will be doing all the guitar parts I'd say.  I have a feeling they will just get a touring guitarist, could be wrong.

I have no idea how it'll turn out. To be honest, I haven't listened to A Sense of Purpose at all. As far as the discussion from the last page or so, I don't think they've been that bad pre-ASOP (not saying it's bad), Reroute to Remain is easily my favorite by them.

Reroute is my favourite too.  You should check out ASOP, it's pretty okay.

I can't decide between Whoracle and Colony.  Both great albums.

Even though there's no Jesper, I'm still looking forward to the next album. Who knows, maybe they can produce something decent?

Yeah, I'm sure the other four can produce something solid, they have all worked together for years, should be interesting.

I've been an In Flames fan since I was 14, I'm 24 now and I still love them. They have a couple albums that I think are mediocre but overall they still kick ass. If you have any doubts about ASOP, try it out...It grew on me a whole lot and I like it a lot more then Soundtrack which is just horrible.

Album Ratings -

Lunar Strain - 7/10...Good Start but something is missing
The Jester Race - 10/10...Classic Metal album
Whoracle - 8/10...Not as good as TJR but still good
Colony - 9/10...My 2nd favorite album
Clayman - 6/10...Stale sounding at times but I still enjoy it
Reroute to Remain - 8/10...Totally refined their sound despite the arguments...Easily my 3rd favorite.

This is where the albums start to go downhill

Soundtrack to your Escape - 3/10...Nu Metal, gay keyboards, no solos WTF!?
Come Clarity - 5/10...Step in the right direction, solos/leads are back every song is pretty decent.
A Sense of Purpose - 5/10...I like this album about as much as Come Clarity, they need to change again for the next one.
Sig removed for being too tall.

From In Flames' Facebook page:
"Album is done boys and girls.
Mixing is taking place right now and we are very happy with the result/IF"

I didn't even know there was a title. :lol

Sounds of a Playground Fading sounds very dark. I'm not really sure why they chose that title, but we'll see when the album comes out.

Also didn't know about the title. But it sounds like Soundtrack to Your Escape, which is not really a good thing.

Soundtrack is dreadful, though The Quiet Place and My Sweet Shadow are fucking awesome, and f(r)iend is killer live (because Anders really beefs up the vocals)

Evil in a Closet is good too.  The album has good stuff but really just falls short from the rest of their discography.
