Hello again old timers!

So, hi to all who remember me from back in the day =).  Its funny seeing the regulars, even with the same avatar, after all this time.  Hope all is well with y'all =D

I dissapeeared years ago, moved to France, and been figuring out stuff.  Was listening to The Spirit Carries On today and I remembered the time I spent on this forum =D

Well, for me. Its been a significant improvement.  My purchasing power has increased significantly, I have quick access and affordable access to health care, and I have all the freedoms afforded to Americans and more.  In NYC, my effective tax rate was 36%, here in Paris it was 29% the last time I did my taxes.

The only downside; I am not able to purchase weapons, and every little dam process requires a shit ton of paper work and bureaucratic nonsense.  Small price to pay ...

Do you feel like not being able to own a gun is a problem where you are? I suppose that if you're in Paris it might matter, but I can't help but think that if I didn't live here in America I wouldn't feel the need to arm myself.
