I actually enjoy that one too. The ending is a nice change.

Also, a friend of mines band did a cover of Mr. Crowley for an Ozzy tribute CD and I think it's the best version I have heard. Faithful, yet awesome.

Interesting, because three that come to mind as my favorites were not great originals:

Big Big Train - Master of Times (originally an unfinished demo by Anthony Phillips)

The Clientele - Orpheus Beach (totally different from the original, which is kind of a nondescript indie song by a band I've never heard of, but the cover is beautiful)

Peter Gabriel - The Book of Love (a similarly awful original made amazing by Peter Gabriel).

Anthrax has so many. Some of my faves are - Lookin' Down the Barrel of a Gun, No Time This Time, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and Neon Knights. Their Kiss and Cheap Trick ones are awesome but basically just amped up versions of the originals.

Don't get me wrong, David's is excellent, but almost every cover of that song I've heard is better: Oasis, Fripp, Blondie, Crimson.......
