Awesome!  :tup

For the Sesame Street series, I was thinking of getting one of the Cookie Monster cookie jars (like this:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/1997-SESAME-STREET-JIM-HENSON-COOKIE-MONSTER-COOKIE-JAR-HARD-PLASTIC-NO-DAMAGE-/290763103913?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43b2d4dea9 ) for the final container, but they are a bit too expensive on ebay...
Guess I have to think of something else.

How about one of these?

https://www.kaboodle.com/reviews/sesame-street-tin-tote-lunch-box-shape

I have two extra containers left over from my first batch. I need one of them for something else, but was thinking of adding Burt to the series. Would you be opposed to that? I have Oscar the Grouch, and Cookie Monster done. Elmo is having his base coat drying. I decided to restart him because I didn't like the original shade of red I picked out.

Yeah, a lunch box is also a good idea - but it would need some waterproof container around it. Gotta check the sizes. Thanks for the tip!  :hat

Nick: We had an emergency at my work this morning and I had to go in four hours earlier than planned. I was not able to get to the post office. Your caches will be on a mail truck first thing Monday morning!!

Okay, I ordered a Sesame Street lunch box to my sister in Chicago and bought a waterproof lock 'n' lock container here. So I'm set for the Sesame Street series.  :hat (okay, still have to think of nice hiding places)
My dad will be visiting my sis in Chicago in 1 month. You think you could finish a series by then and send it to her?

No problem, I'm off on Wednesdays, so I'll just hope they arrive that morning so I can start finding homes for them. :D

Will do!

I planted my mail box today. I noticed on the way out that there are several very distinct land marks leading right to it. I was thinking of having a container a ways away from the box as the point the coordinates lead to. Inside will be a map that you need to take a picture of with either a phone or a digital camera with a preview lens. You will need to use this map to find the actual cache. Is this a multi or puzzle?

It's a multi. Basic rule: a puzzle (or unknown cache, as it's called nowadays), you can solve at home.

And thank you very much Chino for the special gift! How the hell did you make that!?!? I will definitely use that as a trackable!

Gonna start hiding tonight already I hope.

Cool. I've actually never done a multi. I was planning on having the only coordinates listed as the ones to the map. The actual cache will not be able to be found with a GPS. Does that still count as a multi?

I'm glad you are happy with them! Spread the word hahah. As for the bonus gift, I made about 50 of those on a CNC plasma cutter when I was back in highschool.

Should be okay, yes. I know of a cache not far from my place that has several stages and at each stage, you only get a photo for the next stage.

Other than needing a container to store all the swag in. My mail box cache is good to go.

That container is held to the tree with 3 screws drilled directly into the tree. They were sealed off with caulk in an attempt to keep it watertight.

I'll know more on Sunday, but sadly Chino is looks like I might not be able to get the TMNT series on the way back from NH. :(

Awwww, that's a bummer. How is the poke series coming?

Side note: my multi cache was approved around 10:00pm last night. No one has been the FTF yet :( I'm pretty surprised. All of my ninja turtles were found within 12 hours of publishing and those were micros. I thought a huge swap in the woods would have attracted some hardcore cachers for sure.

I have Snorlax hid, which allowed me to hide the Flute, which allows me to hid the rest. So far Poliwag is on a bank by a crick and Diglett is in a fake sprinkler head in the ground. I'm no SUUUUPER busy at work and won't likely hide the rest until after I get back from my trip.

Went caching this evening. found 2/4 of the caches we were looking for. :sadpanda:
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

I hate days like that. My girlfriend and I were about 2 hours from home the other day and decided to do a little caching. We went 2/6 :( . The worst is when you spend like 30+ minutes knowing you are right on top of it and still don't find it. Then seeing that people were able to find it shortly after you just throws salt in an open wound.

NICE!!!

Side note :

I got another Pokemon order from a lady in Florida. She wants three, one for each of her sons. One wants Poliwag, the other Kakuna, and the third wanted Mankey. Poliwag and Kakuna will have to wait till another day for detailing, but I finished Mankey just a few minutes ago.

Be very careful with that! Right now, we have a lot of discussions here in Germany about that very topic. A cache got archived because the landowner complained badly about it. Here, it will become more and more important to contact the landowners before hiding a cache. The hobby gets more and more bad press, especially by hunters and forest owners. Not a problem in my area yet, but who knows...?

Also, DTBug wasn't able to be dropped on 9/6 as planned, but it looks like I'll be in the city on 9/22 to start it.
