Me too. Because it's in the city and some you won't be able to simply drive by it will be a pain in the ass to park at several of the locations, but I'm sure people will go that route.

Well I went out to move my fourth and final cache this morning, the one that wouldn't get approved. I found a new spot after about an hour of searching. It's not as cool as the original hide, but it should suffice.

Nice! Have a link to one of the active ones?

Also, gf got me several containers for my birthday. A bunch of ones that are kinda between nano and micro size, and a fake sprinkler head/key holder one.

Chino, I had already planned on getting a cache in each state on my way back from Rush in Manchester in September, and I will do what I can to try and get your series if we have the time to go slightly off trail.

I hate these nanos, btw. It's a pain in the ass to unroll the logbook and especially putting it back...  :lol

On the other hand, a cacher friend gave me this a few days ago - I might use it (it has a magnet in it):

I hate the smaller nanos for that reason, but this size I generally find isn't too bad.

I hate the nanos that are like the size of a finger nail and are magnetic. You can fit a piece of paper in them just barely big enough to write your initials.

On a side note.... Cache #4 went live!

If you take 84 to CT, which I think you should be, my town is a really quick detour off of it. If you want, I can instruct you where to start so you can do the series in a straight line and pick up 84 again with ease!

I'll keep that in mind when I'm plotting out the trip and know for sure we'll have the extra time, but I certainly hope to grab them!

So I was thinking about making custom containers and selling them online. Now that did them once... Other than the time required for drying, I can crank out 4 ninja turtle caches in under an hour. I was thinking about buying a batch of 40-50 containers and just going nuts.

Some themes I had in mind:

Mario and Luigi / other Mario characters
m&m's
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
Pokemon
Avatar (doing a couple of these for my own pleasure anyway)
Sport Jerseys
Various camouflages
Simpsons characters
Where's Waldo

I think a lot of those themes would be easy to make into themed multi-caches. To make it worth my while, I would need to get $25.... maybe $30 for a set of 4 or 5. Think that's doable?

Hmm, my guess would be that most cachers would either try to make their own containers or to use the "normal" ones. With your containers, one would be more or less "forced" to make a nice themed cache out of it. Don't know how many would actually do that. Selling them online is a great idea, though. Giving them to friends in the area would result in too many similar caches, for example.
As for the price, people would go for the lowest one, of course. But as they are unique, I totally understand your pricing. Maybe it's worth a shot! Personally, I LOVE that idea of unique and handmade containers!

Btw, on Friday, a friend of mine and I will do this cache: https://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?wp=GC3P6WG
This is a file that you have encrypt first (mother tongue doesn't matter - can you find it out?!): https://k005.kiwi6.com/hotlink/kssa8rm916/geheime_Uebertragung.mp3 The owner already 2 similar ones, so it was not too difficult to know what to look for, but had quite a hard time finding out how to deal with my idea.

Did a nice 15 cache run last evening. Ended up climbing a tree for one, was stumbling all around a quarry, and even had to wade through part of a creek.

I just bought 32 containers. It's worth a shot to me. Worst comes to worst I'm out $65. I think there are people out there who would be willing to buy themes for the sake of a fun multi cache. For example... If someone wanted to buy the Power Rangers series, they could leave a clue in each one to the final cache of Zordon. If there is one thing I have learned about the Internet.... Everything has a market.  A girl I knew in college made anywhere from $300-600 dollars a month selling used underwear on Craigslist.

I would be interested in purchasing a series. How much would you want for a 6 pack pokemon series?

Also, I put the first of my birthday tubes out yesterday, went live at 10:17am and was found at 10:45am.

As of now... I'd say somewhere between 30-35 for six custom containers. I think that's a fair price. The thing with the pokemon is that I would be very limited to the number of pokemon I'd be able to paint on a cylinder. Some would be easy and very easy to recognize, but some would be nearly impossible. Something like an Onix, Articuno, Rapidash, etc.. would not be possible.

How about... Diglett, Koffing, Pikachu, Poliwhirl and Golem? I'm thinking I'll have those 5 (or five in general) leading to a final cache, but I can't think what I'd then make that final cache...

Golem might be tricky, but should be doable. How about Mew for the 6th?

If you think you'd be able to do Mew then that would be perfect! If you can't do Golem (who was always a favorite of mine), then Clancy or Jigglypuff will work. Whenever you get all your stuff in and are sure you can do it just shoot me a PM with your paypal address and how much it'll cost with shipping. Thanks!!!

I'm pretty sure I could pull him off, but it's tough to say until I actually start trying to paint. I ordered 32 containers a few days ago and just go shipping confirmation on only the first 4..??.. Hopefully the remaining 28 go out today as well.

Cool beans. I'm like super excited to put these out already. :lol

I think what I'll do is make the first five "Gotta Catch em' All: Pikachu", and in each one have a question written out that has to be answered for parts of the final coordinates. Final one will probably be "Poke Master: Mew" Honestly, if this is as kickass as I'm expecting, I could see hiding a new series every year, with next year being 2nd gen pokemon and so on.
