woooooahhhh woooOOOooooh WOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAH
I imagined the story to go more like this.

I was sitting a traffic light blaring Space Dye Vest and next to me in another car was Kevin Moore. And I'll never be open again.

I have always thought the intro to Innocence Faded would make a good ringtone, don't know why. I think Overture 1928 when the band comes in would be cool too.

I had the the guitar solo from IF as my ringtone before and it worked wonderfully.

My ring back for the longest time was Caught in a Webs chorus, but the end of Metropolis Part One "When the leaves have fallen.." to the end would work well.

i think hes looking for the best of dt, not the craziest.
however point noted tds unison is  :metal

problem is, if i had a dt ringtone, i would wait for the ring to end at least once before answering.

Opposed to this, I think Innocence Faded Outro can be an awesome ringtone.

I'm using the part of The Best of Times when all the instruments enter in the beginning. That works.

In the Name of God section with the the drum fills before the final chorus. I got shivers when they played it live.

Home's riff, prechorus, chorus, or solo sections would work well. Or the outro unison. OR! The Blind Faith solo section, any of it. OR THE GLASS PRISON RIFF. Ok I'll stop.

if you want to grab your attention instantly... try THE MIRROR intro... it used to be my ring tone as well as my alarm clock tone.. or set up sometimes for sms tone..

If I was going to do this I might choose the keyboard solo at 12minutes in Octavarium.

For a long while I used the intro to Metropolis, pt.1.  Has a ring-ish tone to it.

I had the intro to Honor Thy Father as a text ring for a while.  Lost it when I switched cell phones :(

I actually use the intro to Solitary Shell for my ringtone, and it's actually pretty great for a ringtone.  It's not too jarring for others to hear it, but it's still a cool acoustic pattern and makes me happy to hear it every time I get a phone call.  Not to mention, people around me generally like it and ask about DT as well   :D

"Sucking on his pipe" on a 45 second loop.

How about "New Millennium?" The intro kinda sounds like a ringtone anyway :lol

Or, if you really wanted to annoy people, the intro to their cover of "Stargazer."

RIght now I'm actually using the beginning 30 seconds or so of "The Spider" by Kansas.  Good, fast-paced.  My son loves it.  I actually had a customer of mine recognize it!  I was surprised, as not too many people could recognize it from only a second or two.  Unless they are big Kansas fans.

Is it wrong that I have the Darth Vader theme set up for when my wife calls me?

Use the piano intro from "Through My Words."  It is soft, it is nice, and it won't scare the hell out of you every time your phone rings.

I have LaBrie singing "message" from 'The Silent Man' ("Or a message with no receiver?"), funnily enough as my text message tone.  Well worth it, despite the occasional funny looks folk give me when it goes off...
