The one time I saw them was at a small club in Sac.  Won the tickets of the local radio station via my supreme Yes knowledge.  Very fun show.

Hurricane - I'm Onto You

Apparently this band was fronted by current Foreigner singer Kelly Hansen.  It also featured two metal giants' younger brothers, Robert Sarzo and Tony Cavazo.  Funny enough, Rudy's brother played guitar and Carlos' brother played bass.

NOOOooooooooooo......cut down by my own reckless......Lilian Axe.

Sir GuitarCozmo

I know the name, but I don't know anything by them.

lonestar

I noticed earlier you mentioned Black&Blue.  They were the only band I ever saw that got bood off the stage.  They were opening for Triumph and all the fans were way to impatient and rowdy drunk for Triumph.  When Black&Blue came out for their encore, the crowd bood so much that the lead singer threw down the mike, gave the crowd the ol' one finger salute, and stormed off.  We all cheered, loudly.

:rollin

You hear about things like that happening, but you never see it.  Ugh, that couldn't have been pretty.

lonestar

It was on the Thunder Seven tour, when Triumph was about as big as they were gonna get.  All through Black&Blue's set, there were guys parading huge Triumph banners around the arena.  It was quite likeley the most 80's moment I had in the 80's.  Many years later, I felt a little bad for them, but at the time(I was 17 or 18), I was loaded with beer and teenage angst and didn't give a shit.

Kix - Cold Blood

I've opened for Steve whiteman's band, Funny Money several times and the guy is a bit of a self important douchebag.  Or at least he comes off that way.  Either way, this is a great tune.

HA!  That also happended to Fastway opening for Rush in 1984 for the GUP tour I saw.  I also saw Triumph on the Thunder 7 tour but Mountain opened up and.......they......SUCKED.  They were fighting on stage and sounded like crap.

Dokken - In My Dreams

It might be cliched and overplayed, but it's hair metal badassery at its finest.

:lol  I was going to see his obscurity and raise him some Angel, but since you referenced the very thread I was going to, I'll just link him to my post a little farther down where I mention them and link some more House of Lords videos:  https://www.dreamtheaterforums.org/boards/index.php?topic=7842.msg267934#msg267934

But I'll still go for some HoL-related obscurity and raise you some Lanny Cordola:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYBr1e2Y2XU&feature=PlayList&p=E55219FE9BC1CBD8&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=105

Actually, let me go even more obscure than that and see if I can stump even Cozmo with these guys:  Die Happy - Perpetual Motion

Without looking it up, do you know the Badlands tie-in?

Another one from them that is probably even better:  Temple of Soul

lonestar

Here is my shot at trying to win the obscurity award, Demon, with Don't Break the Circle....

The singer SOUNDS familiar, but I'm not sure if that's it.  I have no idea.   :blush

Home now, so not sure what else I'll e posting today, but I'll try to pop back in later.  Off to Chinese buffet now!

bosk1

Nah, not the singer.  Bass player is Greg Chaisson.

When someone mentioned Warlock  I immediately thought of Warlord https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pU_ALeCVHn0

There is simply no answer for this song.

OMG I forgot about that song.  It might as well be John Parr's, St Elmo's Fire.

Another, that's a fave of mine, Sign of the Gypsy Queen

This is a great album!

Wow.. what memories brought up in this thread. Lots of bands that I had seen...Black n Blue, Warlock, House Of Lords, Hurricane...

I never saw WASP, unfortunately.

And wki, good call on the Warlord!

Picked up L.A. Guns' first album.  Absolutely killer.  Here's the opening track, No Mercy:

I'm getting much more into them, especially on the urging of a good friend of mine.  A singer in a few of the bands I was in, plus a hair metal fan, who just happens to be a big L.A. Guns fan also.  I also grabbed the "Meniketti" album from iTunes as well.  Really good disc, as bosk has said many times.  Dave's voice sounds great and there's some really excellent soloing as well.

Not a song recommendation, but in other news, I finally moved my gig directory to my online Google Maps.

https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en&gl=us&ie=UTF8&oe=UTF8&msa=0&msid=115871855234909793954.000482146cef673eecc8c&z=3

I basically went through and pinpointed every place I've ever played.  IF I have forgotten any, it's no more than 2-3, if even that.  There were a few I couldn't remember the names of, but I marked them anyway.  One, we didn't actually PLAY there, I just marked it for coolness, as it was an interesting part of our travels.  Probably 90% of these gigs were with the Kiss tribute, Cold Gin.

That is great Cosmo!!!  Cosmo's, "Quest for the West" should be next!
