Great!!! I might start planning it soon, then, perhaps to start not long after the New Year.

My only problems would be how to handle B-Sides. From 67-70, there are a TON of them, so I'd have to be selective about some of them. Then from 1970 onward, there's quite a few more, mostly in the Collins-era, so I'd probably do a whole Survivor for just the B-Sides/Non-Album tracks. I might just do a whole Ray Wilson-"Era" Survivor and just include all 19 known released studio tracks from CAS/Singles of the time, so I'm not mixing Wilson-Era B-Sides with Collins-Era ones.

I'm not sure how it was done last time, but if anyone has suggestions about how to handle it, or can tell me what was done last time, that'd be great! Thanks guys and I'll let you know when I plan on starting it.

I'd say as soon as my Marillion survivor is done, so possibly near the end of February. I'll probably gear-up fans on here to participate, and it'll likely be a daily-update survivor, meaning each round will only last a day, so it'll go by QUICK (mostly because I want to get to my Spock's Beard Survivor by Summer-time, in time for the band's new album).

Soon. I've been insanely busy with work and personal life in the last week or so. I originally planned on starting it last week, but I have been busy and haven't had a chance to post it. This weekend or next week!

Not sure how many people look at this sticky, but I'll post here none-the-less. Just before BCSL release, I did a "Favorite DT Moment" survivor. Rather than doing DT's catalog by song, I did it by their most impressive moments. Categories were as follows:

JLB Note (studio & live)
Guitar solo (studio & live)
Keyboard solo
Bass lick
Instrumental wankery
Riff (Heavy, medium and light)
Unison

I'm thinking about adding a category for JLB 'stanza' ... since he hasn't had too many impressive single note's in his singing since the accident.

I usually run it, but I missed my typical February start date for some reason. If there's enough demand for it I'll run it again.

Jirpo has done Iron Maiden in the past. You should check with him before starting one. Usually once someone starts one they get dibs for doing it again.

I was big on this section almost all of last year and checked it daily to come in and vote.

However the bands for the survivors this calander year have just not been my musical flavor.

Porcupine Tree...MIGHT not win...but....it would be fun see them whittled down to the evental obvious four or five finalists.

Alright, I'm going to start a Rammstein survivor. I hope that it will work, but if it won't, well then, too bad. I want to give it a try, however.

Don't know how helpful this is, as the active survivor threads are the first ten entries on this board anyway, but it can't hurt, right?

I'll set the first round up today, voting on the first album, Herzeleid.
