« on: April 10, 2010, 06:15:52 PM »
less than 2 weeks, who's excited?

i cant wait for the album, i actually love spencer's vocals but i see around the internet that hes a very polarizing frontman (love/hate) but ive been waiting for them to release an album for years

I've heard most of the new album now, and I really like the vocals.  There's a lot of variety, and I like his singing voice; it's different, and it's not nasally/whiny like many other singers of the genre.

I'm still having a hard time getting used to the new vocalist  :\

Very good album overall, though.

If you like Periphery, check this out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTNI7zh_Dno

A project with Bulb and Chris Barretto (old Periphery singer).  The end is incredible

I should reupload that video just to annoy their 'exclusive'ness :D

But it's great!

Listening to Bulb's original version of Jetpacks Was Yes!, and it's so much more beautiful than the album version. Shame.

I've still been listening to this album nonstop. I'm afraid that I'll listen to it so much that I'll get sick of it.

Letter Experiment is my favorite off the album, which is nice because I never really cared for the older versions of it, save the outro. Ow My Feelings has the best vocal effort (except the awkward middle section). Zyglrox definitely has the best harsh vocals.

yea zyglrox was one of the last songs spencer did vocals for so he worked on his screams a little more than some of the others

Bump.

This CD is great, a big positive surprise considering it's a new group for me.
Buttersnips is my favorite, such an awesome tune.  :tup

Buttersnips is quickly becoming my favorite too, but it's still a gem among many.

I think we gave this cd some props in the Death thread.....it's a good disc a bit long for a first entry.....the last song is neadlessly long.

Icarus Lives though...welll at least a band finally released the right song as the single. Sirius "Liquid Metal" pimped the living crap out of this band.
Take care everyone - Bet you all didn't even notice I was gone.

Happy Lives to you all.
