I'm a bit confused with the "Intro" track. As I said in the other thread, I have it included in the beginning of Svefn-g-englar...
I AM A GUY
You're a fucking stupid bitch.
Orion....that's the one with a bunch of power chords and boringly harsh vocals, isn't it?

Wikipedia has it seperate, and so does my disc. However, it's not included in the track list, but it is a seperate track. Guess you have a different version.

Just bumping to say that If These Trees Could Talk are really good!
Had only heard the self-titled EP before, but listened to the studio-album now, and awesome stuff!  :hat

It's a decent album, but there are much better Post-Rock releases from 2011.
If you haven't checked these out, I would recommend the following before getting EiTs:

Mogwai - Hardcore Will Never Die But You Will
Maybeshewill - I Was Here For A Moment, Then I Was Gone
Vessels - Helioscope
This Will Destroy You - Tunnel Blanket
Codes In the Clouds - As the Spirit Wanes
And So I Watch You From Afar - Gangs

Yeah it's really good, one of their best in years IMO. :)
Can really recommend it, some ace songs on it like White Noise, You're Lionel Ritchie and Death Rays to name a few.

They're pretty good. Pneuma is a great album. Sol Solis is a lovely track.

Hardcore is...well, the only post rock release I've heard from 2011 :lol  But what a record it is.  I cannot recommend it enough.

I saw them open for Thrice and to me they just seemed like a watered down version of Thrice.
Cole: "Ow I just got hit in the balls"
Me: "How?"
Cole: "Well you know when you try to scratch your balls, and you scratch too hard?
I'll admit sometimes I want to listen to Dragonforce.

Yeah, same. Though they were way better than the "I want to be Zack de la Rocha so hard" lead singer of O Brother.

New Sigur Ros?

I think the new Sigur Rós album was announced quite a while ago, but I am still very excited about it.  :D

 What gave you that impression? Though, I only caught like their last song and a half when they opened for TDH.

I'm curious too.  I wasn't exactly blown away by them or anything but if I recall the guy just stood there singing and playing guitar.  At least on the few tunes I caught.

After some semi-failed tries in the past, I'm finally getting into GY!BE. Loving Slow Riot and Lift Your Skinny Fists, specially Moya which I think is one of the best songs I've ever heard. I'm thinking I should get BY!BE music in vinyl instead of CD, it sounds like it would be amazing in vinyl plus they aren't particularly expensive or hard to find.

I don't want to try the others yet because they were the ones that failed previously and because I want to soak these two in before moving on to other albums.

His vocal delivery. It was that "not really singing but not really rapping" half shouting type delivery that I've only heard in RATM songs.

Do they have any other good albums?

Are you sure you're not thinking of the singer for La Dispute?  They played at the same gig (if it's the Thrice gig we're talking about).

I'm assuming you've already listened to their full length, "...and so we destroyed everything"?  That's really the only two essential releases they have at the moment.

Also, from facebook:

Mono (Japan)
We've loaded up the gear to go record our new record! We will post some photos and videos over the next few weeks for you to see.

any recommendations from slow, atmospheric ambient-ish stuff? been craving that recently because I've been spinning TWDY's latest a lot, and it's really damn good.
