Cult of Luna is quite good.
:metal :metal :metal
Cult of luna is epic...

I can't seem to get into other post-rock though. What should I try out?
I listened to a few mogwai tracks and a few sigur ros tracks.. they bore me.

Been listening to the new Codes in the Clouds album, "As the Spirit Wanes" this week.
Haven't heard this band before even though this isn't their first, but I really think this album is really good.
Hard to compare it to another band within the genre, but I'm getting some Explosions in the Sky-vibes, good ones.
This isn't the long/build-up type of post-rock, it's more melodic and catchy.
Worth to check out at least. :)

This thread deserves to be higher up.

I listened to Maybeshewill's new album; "I Was Here For A Moment, Then I Was Gone" for the first time today, some really awesome stuff.
Had not heard this band before, but this release was really good, I need to check this band out further. (and listen to this album more)

A lot of people would say their first albums, but honestly I thought their new album was brilliant, and it's my favorite. (though I must admit, I haven't checked out the earlier albums that well yet)

Guys, what do you think of Gregor Samsa's 55:12 album? I heard Young And Old and its fantastic and I'm hoping its another monumental post-rock album like f#a#infinity. Or am I going to be disappointed after hearing more?  :P

It's my favorite post-rock album ever, and one of my favorite albums of all time, so no, you most certainly will not be disappointed.

I think Ágćtis Byrjun is the best Sigur Rós-album, an coincidently the best album in post-rock.

I used to think that too, but after listening to () many more times, it proved to be the only perfect Sigur Ros album for me. Other albums have some tracks I consider fillers, while () is just so complete and perfect, and in fact it stands as one track by itself. I'll see about it being the best post-rock album until I've listened to other bands, but after watching the live video of Untitled #8 from Heima, this album became even harder to top.

And about that live version... it's just :hefdaddy :hefdaddy :hefdaddy :hefdaddy :hefdaddy

Talking about Post-Rock, I had a huge Post-Rock streak tonight, while gaming I listened to pretty much only this genre.
The albums I listened to:

This Will Destroy You - Tunnel Blanket
Maybeshewill - I Was Here For a Moment, Then I Was Gone
Sigur Rós - Aegis Byrjun
65daysofstatic - We Were Exploding Anyway
Russian Circles - Enter
Sigur Rós - Takk
And So I Watch You From Afar - Gangs
Codes in the Clouds - Paper Canyon
Codes in the Clouds - As the Spirit Wanes

Radular.  I was going through a Cough binge and for some reason it pointed me to Isis on youtube and I listened to Ghost Key.  That has to be one of my most favorite songs ever.  Just the flow and bursts of aggression really struck me as aweworthy.  Not to mention the rest of Wavering Radiant is nothing short of phenomenal.
