Lego Dream Theater
« on: April 06, 2010, 08:51:38 AM »
Why? Cause I'm 14, Love DT, and I have some time on my hands.

JM, JLB, JP, JR, MP

:metal :letam:

Mike's 25-piece set (thats a lot for legos)

consists of two bass drums, one snare, hi tom, two med toms, three floor toms, crash, crash/ride, two rides, china, five splash/effect cymbals, hi-hat, two random cymbals i just felt like making but they look alright, wood blocks, two cowbells. also the chair swivels.

:rudess:

Keyboard rig complete with a KORG oasys, a second keyboard that i didn't base off anything, Continuum Fingerboard, Lap-Steel Guitar, and a soundboard thingy

Rudess at the KORG (yea it rotates  :metal )

Zen Riffer

Bebot Solo

JM with JP. Guitars are very difficult to produce with legos.

James LaBrie

Yeah maybe this belongs in A&C but idk.

If there are Lego shovels you should give one to JLB. :lol

Also, you should post this at MP.com if you haven't already. I'm sure Mike would like to see his Lego drum kit.

Lego + Dream Theater + lots of free time + the mind of a teenager = WIN

Fun Fact: The word 'LEGO', when used as a noun, should only refer to the company that makes the product. Otherwise 'LEGO' is supposed to be used as an adjective. Thus, when referring to the pieces, neither 'lego' nor 'legos' is correct... rather one should say: 'LEGO bricks' or 'LEGO pieces' or whatever (using LEGO as an adjective -- and one should really capitalize all of the letters, and put the little 'circle-R' symbol after it (®)). This is all a matter of protecting the trademark of 'LEGO' for the company (using it otherwise degenerates the strength of the trademark).

That fact wasn't very fun at all.

So cool!

I love the drum set, really detailed, which is often hard to do with legos.

The drum kit is epic. There must be a lot of work on this !!

two random cymbals i just felt like making but they look alright
:lol
Jesus Christ himself* comes down amidst a choir of 2 billion angels singing Handel's Hallelujah chorus. As KrotchRaut shred randomly on guitars made of dragon bones using picks made from God's kidney stones, Jesus heals a blind woman who promptly gives birth onstage to a creation of pure light.

*Yes, Jesus Christ himself. Nothing less will do.
