I gotta agree with Emin about you being too stiff while playing 6:00. This is coming from a fellow drummer, you thought about the song too much while playing it. You didn't see very comfortable playing it compared to Constant Motion.

Always try to feel comfortable with the songs, when one is thinking too much about the drum parts (what's coming next, gotta be ready) one tends to mess up and/or the songs ends up with no grooviness (thanks Emin, :lol) to it.
lol yeah.  Well I was nervous because I had only been playing it for like, 4 days.  And I was pissed because the computer kept fucking up on me.  If I actually know a song good I am a lot "groovier"

icy, those performances were damn awesome and you should be seriously proud of them! Yeah the sound was kinda crap in the second one, and obviously they weren't perfect but then 1) you only had a week to work on them, and more importantly (IMO) 2) you were playing along with the recording, which is a REALLY hard thing to do. I know Emin and Dimi are going on about losing yourself in the song, which is true if you're playing live, because it's not a big deal if you don't play every hit as it is in the recording, as long as you're in time and playing well. But when playing with a recording, if you do anything differently it's going to be obvious, and that makes it MUCH harder to play without being a little stiff.

So yeah, very very well done! :D

He's still doing a cover, technically, so he doesn't have to play everything as it is. Whenever I practice songs I play to the recordings and I still try to lose myself in it.

Since this is a contest of the people, I would like to invite all of you to an MSN session sometime this weekend to discuss the final task and brainstorm one. My MSN is pisserthemisserr@hotmail.com. We'll discuss more on the time and stuff like that later on.

Yes, my point was that when you're playing along with the recording, if you play anything differently then it'll be noticeable because you can hear the recording behind it.

Ok so for my task you have two choices:

1) Pick your 2 favorite DT albums and translate the songs to Spanish.

2) Do a drum cover of the Instrumedley.

Live or die, make your choice.

Perhaps the following condition should be added:

If you choose option 1, no cheating (i.e. using Google Translate)

lol, how am I supposed to translate them without using a translator?

and I think I have heard instrumedly like, once.
I will think though.  Can you give me a day before the challenge actually starts so I have time to think of which one to do?

EDIT:
Dance of eternity seems hard...I know how to play metropolis and erotomania... Ytse Jam seems easy... I don't even know what song is after ytse jam, the rest I don't know but seems hard up until one last time.
I think i will do instrumedly, don't expect it to be perfect though because this is actually my first time hearing it.
Wish me good luck

EDIT ON THE EDIT: and I swear, if I am playing the real erotomania, and I just bust out into ytse jam in the middle, I am going to be pissed because I started going straight into voices in the middle of erotomania for a while because I made my own medly.
