I also think that because of the lack of boundaries, low amounts of stoppages in play, and the pure speed and physicality of the game, hockey is one of the most exciting sports out there. There are hardly ever boring games as long as you stay away from games where two bad teams play each other and when it comes to playoff hockey, there's nothing like it. I know this is my opinion and it comes from me being a hockey player/fan for the past 16 years, but I honestly can't see how hockey can be considered boring.

And I don't know for you, but for me, it has become 100x time more exciting since the lock out. The game is now faster and the amount of goals is just perfect for me; not too much and not 1-0 each game like in soccer.
Yeah post-lockout hockey is very different. The neutral zone trap is hardly used anymore and that's what made the game so bland in the mid to late 90's-early 00's. The removal of the two line pass rule, and all the new power play faceoff rules they made have made the game much faster. And the flood of young offensive talent like Ovechkin, Malkin, Crosby, Toews, and all those guys have made the game offensive again. I can see players scoring 130-140 points again in the near future.

Alright icy, this is your challenge:

"Lock eyes from across the room
Down my drink while the rhythms boom
Take your hands, skip the names
No need here for the silly games
Make our way through the smoke and crowd
The club is the sky and I'm on your cloud
Move in close as the lasers fly
Our bodies touch and the angels cry

Leave this place go back to yours
Our lips first touch outside your doors
The whole night what we've got in store
Whisper in my ear that you want some more
And I smile in my pants
"

Your task is to get yourself a video camera (come on, it's not that difficult to find one. Most regular cameras have video as well. So no excuses and it won't cost you a bit - you can even borrow one) and ask random people at your school to sing a verse of the song (what I wrote is not the whole of it, look up for the rest of the lyrics). So you'll more or less find yourself in this situation:

-You: "Hey, I need a favor. I'm doing this project and I need you collaboration. Do you know that song "smile in My Pants" by
The Lonely Island? The one made famous in SNL. Well, I need to record you singing one part of x verse. Could you help me, please?" (Be persuasive!)
-Kid A: "Sure. I guess."
-You: "Here. Sing this with the rhythm of the song."
-Kid A: "Speeding in the street, when the red lights flash -- Need to get away, need to make a dash."
-You: "That's perfect. Thank you very much. That's great."

And then you proceed to find another boy or girl and repeat that process untill you have most of the lyrics recorded. You will then mix every take so the whole thing is jammed into one song. You have to appear in that video, and your appearance will be at the end of the song when the lyrics go:

"I smile right in my pants
Every time you're next to me
And when we're holdin hands
Its like havin sex with me
You say I'm premature
I just call it ecstasy
I wear a rubber at all times
Its a necessity
"

Put the original score in the background so you can make it flow better (but mostly so we can sing along ;) ).
It won't too much of your time if you use it wisely. And I make it easier as I don't challenge you for making the kids act (but if they want... bonus points).

Here's the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pXfHLUlZf4
Have fun! (Oh, you can censor the word smile if you want and replace it with "smile".) This is not a professional production but we do want to see the effort in the final result. OK?

GO! You have until next Sunday.

we arent allowed to have electronics on.  It is a good challenge, and I commend you for coming up with such a good challenge, but there is a level of impossibility there, because I cant bring things into school like that.  And I cant get that many people on the street to do that without getting jumped at least once.

I say you do it. My opinion counts for shit. But it's a good challenge. You don't even have to do it at school. Just get each person to sing a line.

so find a new person on the street, for every single line of the full song, and get them willing to do a video of this, and edit it, put it all together in one week.  yeah right.  I mean, i know these are supposed to be challenging, but that is just not possible.  It was hard enough getting a PICTURE of someone just holing up a sign, let alone getting a VIDEO of many many many people singing.

Fine. For my 9000th post, and for the challenge I originally had in mind: Icy, record yourself playing "Constant Motion" and "Honor Thy Father" in your (real) drum set. Easy? You have to beat the song at least with 95% of accuracy. You have a week to perfect them. There are drummers in this board who will help me the evaluation. Put the camera at an angle where we can see that you are playing the whole thing like at this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Eia5-vE0nE&feature=related

Noticed how he put the original song in the background? Do the same.

ONE WEEK. And be grateful that considering how mad I was for you rejecting my original proposition I didn't demand "The Dance of Eternity".

whatever.   Do you think maybe we could make it like, 80% accuracy?  I mean, that is learning almost 20 minutes worth of drums in 1 week.

EDIT: now that I think about it, I think I can do the part in constant motion.  It actually isn't extremely hard if you break it down.  don't get me wrong, I will fail at least 20 times... but I think I can get it.  As far as HTF goes, I am not so sure if it is hard or not, like I said, I don't really listen to it much.
