I've been watching a new anime called Tsuritama and I am loving it so very much. It's adorable, the artwork and animation is splendid and compliments the vibe of the story, the voice actors (especially for Haru) are, per norm, very dedicated and perfectly cast. But it's the storyline and light-hearted tone of the show that I love the most. It's a fishing anime (which I've never watched before and had I known that beforehand I probably wouldn't have tuned in) with a twist in that an alien (who is physically no different than a human), Haru, forces the main character, Yuki, a ridiculously anti-social weirdo to help him catch a legendary fish. It doesn't sound too entertaining but it is all kinds of awesome. It always gives me a very good feeling while watching it and I haven't felt that in a while when watching any show, let alone an anime.
I recommend it to anyone who wants something different than the usual Shonen-based anime or for someone that usually watches serious and or darker-toned anime. But I really think almost anyone who watches anime could enjoy it. Tapioca FTW.
