Today's the last day of Anime North, so I will be posting all the pictures I got in another thread. However, I'll post some of the best pictures I got in here. I have around 75 so far, but I hope to pick up a few more at the tournament I'm going to today.

Apparently the rebuilds of Eva are actually sequels instead of remakes. /a/ seems to have a different eva thread about it every 5 minutes.

I actually rewathced eva to see the Rebuild movies and... i have seen them and:

OH GOD.
I imagined the story to go more like this.

I was sitting a traffic light blaring Space Dye Vest and next to me in another car was Kevin Moore. And I'll never be open again.

2.22 is fucking amazing, much better then the first movie. But, some of the fanservice is so blatant, but that's all tongue in cheek.

So far I've only seen the first Eva Rebuild film. Being a huge fan of the original series, I can say for character developement and story telling purposes, these films do WAY more justice to the series than the actual series itself.

Needless to say, I can't wait to indulge myself in the other films.
I felt its length in quite a few places.

Thor just recently subbed it. Not saying you should download it, but rather download their subtitle and use it with your legitimately purchased movie. :neverusethis:

I really don't think that anime would have gotten the attention it has if not for the ending. It was based on an eroge, which I'm told was somewhat notable (the porn scenes were animated and it had a couple of extremely violent endings), but the anime itself...by the time the ending happened, I literally DID NOT CARE about what happened to Makoto. That dude was a jerkass at best, and I half expected him to falcon punch Sekai when she got pregnant.

I like the twist that was presented throughout the whole series. I definitely was one to expect your common Japanese college humorous-romantic series. The changes in the mood throughout the whole thing were brilliant, although I do share your view with me not caring at all for Makoto's whereabouts. The guy was a bastard at its best.

So I finished Saya no Uta all in one sitting yesterday...can't get it off my mind. Not in the "Man, that was disturbing and will haunt me forever" way, but in a more philosophical way. I doubt anyone here has played it so we can't discuss it, but damn.

Anyways now I'm playing Chaos;Head. Also I've added Working!! to my list of current animes to watch.

Bakemonogatari, Durarara!!, Working!!, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, and Angel Beats are all now over. I need some new anime to watch. Has anyone checked out the current season? Anything good? I don't like the prospects of Katanagatari and Hellsing Ultimate being the only shows I'm watching with new episodes still coming out.

Anyone seen the new Highschool of the Dead series? I've been wanting to check it out seeing as how I used to be a giant zombie movie nerd, but the insane amount of fanservice leads me to believe it would get in the way of the actual story.

Bump inspired by DBZ thread

Anyone seen the new Highschool of the Dead series? I've been wanting to check it out seeing as how I used to be a giant zombie movie nerd, but the insane amount of fanservice leads me to believe it would get in the way of the actual story.

I've been watch it, and while there is definitely tons and tons of fanservice, it doesn't really detract from the show at all. If you watch it with friends you get the added bonus of joking about all the unnecessary gainaxing and panty shots.

Personally, I have been watching Kanon recently, and I am nearly all caught up with Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. I also recently finished Arakawa Under the Bridge. Really looking forward to the second season of that and Kizumonogatari in the fall.

I rewatched SE: Lain, and still don't get it... I pick up new things every time I watch it, but it's still confusing.

Good series, BTW.
In high school my buddies and I built a Van Der Graaf generator.  You know, to get girls.

I am downloading Elfen Lied as I type this. There are only 13 episodes, right?

This will be my fourth anime series I've ever experienced, the others being Cowboy Bebop, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Ghost in the Shell.

I really need to attempt Ghost in the Shell again, because I think I was distracted my first time with it. I didn't think much of it.
