The tour is called "The Spirit Carries On", I think it's pretty evident that they will pull that one out.

Interesting, I hadn't heard that. Source?

I seem to recall the name of the tour being uttered at the end of the drummer auditions. I feel like Jordan mentioned on his twitter as well.

Neither am I. I just figured they'd start off playing a "vanilla" set of fairly standard songs, then mix it up as the tour goes on.

I'm going to three shows in a row in the summer, I really hope that's not the setlist.  :lol

Ben_Jamin

I hope they at least play one song from each album.

Seems pretty unlikely

Ben_Jamin

Not really, 9 songs (excluding WDADU, obviously) that have potential...

1. A Nightmare to Remeber
2. Forsaken
3. Misunderstood
4. Endless Sacrifice
5. These Walls
6. 6:00
7. Lines In The Sand
8. The Dance Of Eternity
9. Metropolis Pt. 1
Encore
- The Spirit Carries On

Almost 1hr 30min. If ANTR is the opener. But yeah, they"ll most likely have AROP CM, and PA. Unless they surprise us.

Are you to record at least one of them?  ::)

cyberdrummer

Afraid not. Much as I appreciate it when people do record shows, I just want to go and rock out and enjoy the gig.

Moreso that it seems unlikely that you'll get a show with songs from each album, whereas I'm sure they'll have songs from each album in the rotation, but you're likely to get multiple songs from certain albums, while some will be left out.

Ben_Jamin

I'm just sayin its not impossible for them to do it, but I do agree we'll get the 3 audition songs, maybe and the usual songs...unless they surprise us.

I could see them playing Octavarium on this tour.  :)

Yeah, would be nice indeed. I remember Jordan tweeted about how he "forgot how much an awesome song Octavarium is" a few months ago.

setrataeso

Octavarium would not surprise me, it's past due for a comeback.

jonny108

Octavarium at High Voltage would go down a storm.  The perfect song for a Rock, metal and prog festival  :metal

How long of a set do they get?

Well, one year ago Transatlantic got approximately 90 minutes (encore included), and they were headliners. It is most likely that DT will not be given more than that, unfortunately...

jonny108

Last year ELP started at 8.45 and finished at 10.30.  However there was 6 bands on last year and this year there is only 5 so they might have 2 hours. Plus Transatlantic got less time than the main stage headliners due to them being on the prog stage.

Transatlantic were headling the second stage. DT are headlining the main stage. That makes the world of difference.
