I wonder if that big European Tour announcement will be related to festivals and maybe Wacken again?

Anyway, I bet Geoff is only in that one song, would make sense since the large amount of singers and he isn't touring so I doubt he plays a large role on the album.

I will hold my jugdement until I hear, like others have said, he could have gotten some studio touch up and maybe will sound amazing.  Who knows.

Check out all thei albums. There seems to be two different periods of the band, musically. I prefer everything from Hellfire Club until the present. But their album The Savage Poetry from 2000 is phenomenal.

Didn't realise it was a secret  :lol
for me the run of mandrake, hellfire club and rocket ride is awesome. Space police was a return to form after two average albums

It's odd, a lot of people don't see Space Police as being a return to form. I actually do, just a bit more "progressive" and it had a production sound we haven't heardnfrom them before. But musically there is lots of power metal.

Take note... Lowdz knows his shit.

Some of the lyrics can be cringe-worthy (on all of the above), but overall, top notch stuff.

I wouldn't say it's a return to form in regards to style, but quality, yeah, a big step up from the two albums that came before it.

Probably mine also.  That album aged really well, and is still a joy to listen too.  Mandrake and Hellfire would both push for a close second.

SHARON DEN ADEL ON NEW AVANTASIA ALBUM
We've come full circle: Within Temptation's Sharon Den Adel is back! It was spring 2000 when someone played me a song featuring an amazing vocalist called Sharon Den Adel. I had just begun to work on what was to become the first Avantasia album "The Metal Opera". I contacted Sharon who was really cool and after listening to the song "Farewell" she agreed on singing a role on "The Metal Opera". She turned Farewell into a magical tune, and after the vocal session she sent me a letter - which I still have - saying "If you ever need me again you know where to find me!"
Now, 15 years later I took her up on the offer dating back to the year 2000. smile emoticon I had this tune that was just right for Sharon, and she listened, and she liked it, and she agreed! And I am soooo grateful that she is back in Avantasia! You will hear it when 'Ghostlights' hits the stores on January 29! Sharon has such a wonderful distinctive voice, very emotional, beautiful, technical, she is so unique, and I am extremely happy that our paths have crossed once again! Sharon, ik dank u wel! You rock! - Tobi

Hellfire Club is the perfect mix of old and new Edguy. Its got the straightforward power of the early stuff, but at the same time has the same sound as their newer stuff thanks to the production. I really wouldn't mind another Hellfire Club from them. I don't know if that will ever happen. Oddly enough though, Space Police is a lot like Hellfire Club while at the same time sounding very very different. Doesn't make sense, but you know what I mean..

Hellfire Club has their best song ever, The Piper Never Ever Ever Ever Ever Ever Ever Ever Ever Ever Dies.
I use my sig to pimp some bands from Italy! Check out Elvenking (Power / Folk metal), Folkstone (Rock / Medieval metal), Arcana Opera (Gothic/Noir/Heavy metal) and the beautiful voice of Elisa!

No , one of the best Edguy songs is Rise of Morning Glory. It's amazing and it's essentially about nothing.

We need more Edguy votes!!
