Uncovered 2003-2005

Any love for this awesome bootleg? I acquired it recently and I have to say that I'm impressed. James LaBrie sounds absolutely stellar in Since I've Been Loving You and the Diary of a Madman cover is brilliant. Discuss this amazing collection of covers.  :metal

I like it overall. I would have loved to hear their version of Crazy Train instead, but oh well. I think JLB sounds best on the Queen and Kansas covers, and of course he nails that ridiculous note in Cemetary Gates (my throat hurts thinking about it). Don't know why they chose to play To Tame a Land in a lower tuning . . .

I'm very much amazed at LaBrie's Since I've Been Loving You performance. It's legendary. Considering that was recorded in 2003, who would tell  he could nail those high notes back then. He probably can't even pull those right now.

What's your point? James can sing that song perfectly fine.

Thats not how I read it. I think he just meant since James sang so high on the covers on this cd, he doesn't think they needed to tune down for To Tame A Land from the BCSL bonus disc.

Or maybe he got a mixed up download. :p

Overall, good disk.  I'm not crazy about some of the songs, but I've been hoping they would do this for years now.  My only minor gripe is that, while they have now released the two non-DT/QR tunes they performed with Queensryche (Comfortably Numb on the DSOTM official boot and Won't Get Fooled Again here), it does not include the two Queensryche songs they did (Take Hold and Real World).  I've been hoping for a compilation of all 6 of the joint encore songs they did for that tour, but I doubt that will happen.  :(

Me too. I made an EP of the best audience recordings of those encore performances, but that's the best we can do.

Didn't Queensryche release a dvd with those two song Bosk1?

Art of Live (DVD, not the CD) has Comfortably Numb and Won't Get Fooled Again, but that's it.

And the DVD is horrendous. If someone buys it, buy it used, as cheap as possible. A total piece of crap.

It's all good  :tup I didn't connect how James performance on Cemetary Gates was related to To Tame A Land, but now I see what you were getting at, and I agree!

Well, To Tame A Land was not recorded during the BC&SL sessions like the other covers. I wish it was. I think it would've come out, or at least sounded as good as the others.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

I LOVE this disc. I had heard poorer quality versions of many, if not all of these covers before, and I love having them all on one disc in great quality. They do such a good job of taking songs from a wide variety of influences and pulling them off in a great way.
