Medleys that you think would work well live.

What DT songs would work mashed up at a live show? You don't have to limit yourself to just two songs. Something like Instrumedley or Schmedley Wilcox. My first time seeing DT, they mashed up Pull Me Under into the instrumental of Metropolis, and it was perfect.

The Glass Prison into TSF
The Count of Tuscany, with Hell's Kitchen right before the ambient guitar solo swells.

I would love to hear the Queen medley myself, but, as MP said, all those harmonies would be impossible to reproduce live.

I don't think TALW would go well after ATC

Some Lines in the Sand intro-style keyboard > Home > partial 46 & 2 cover > Take the Time, then the Take the Time outro could solo it's way into the Scarred outro maybe. Or that could all be nonsensical, but I'd like it.

"Home" -> "Sacrificed Sons"
The outro-chord in "Home" is pretty much the same as the outro-chord of "Never Enough" so the segue works perfectly. Conversely, you could also do "Never Enough" -> "The Dance Of Eternity", which, given the title of the instrumental and the lyrical matter of the prior song, it's a bit ironic.

The end of "Disappear" is the same key as the opening to "Home", so really you could make a segued setlist of "Disappear" -> "Home" -> "Sacrificed Sons"... WIN!

Another Day/The Count of Tuscany.

That's funny, they both use similar chord voicings.

Lyrically, this would be fascinating.  If very emotionally draining for James.  Musically it might be pretty cool too... :tup

Yeah, when i had the idea i kinda thought that all the three songs involve very sad things, and "TAMP" and "TBOT" are about the death of James and Mike´s dads (I believe), it would be a pretty unique emotional moment for the whole band. I can see how its a little "too calm" for some, but nevertheless I would love to see it!

This. This without a doubt would be awesome. No songs cut or incomplete and a great mash of two great songs.

I tried this in Audacity. The transition from The Count's Instrumental section to the beginning of Hell Kitchen sounded great, but there's really no good ending transition back into Tuscany.

I'm not too good with Audacity, but the thought of the atmo part of TCOT replaced by Hell's Kitchen made my, shall we say, "friend" and his "two associates" swell with excitement.

Maybe not with what we have recorded, but they could easily get back into the ending of TCOT another way.

This one would make some sense, actually.  :tup

I had an idea of Home going into Endless sacrifice. Home stops after the second chorus and the instrumental section from Endless sacrifice begins, but I don't know which song would fit after the ES instrumental.  :\ Does anyone have an idea?
