Yep, that was when U2 were at the most daring, edgy and creative selves.  I will forever kick myself for not seeing them on that tour in '92/'93.

You're lucky you had the chance.

I blame not going on several factors:

1. I was smack dab in the middle of my Rush discovery phase, so I kicked U2 to the curb (where they stayed for way too long).
2. I had my first serious girlfriend for most of that year, and my, um, head was in a different place. :p :lol
3. I was stupid.

I saw them as a 15 year old on the War tour and again 2 years later on the Unforgetable Fire tour.

:jealous:

I got into them in the Joshua Tree era, and then dug into their back catalog and really liked that and still do.  The next couple of albums (R&H and AB) were also pretty good, but I just didn't really care much for their direction after that.  I can definitely appreciate a lot of the later material.  But it's just not something that interested me as a whole.  But, again, I think I will have to get that DVD and I'm glad for the reminder this thread has provided.

"Zooropa" was played for the first time since 1993 tonight in Brazil.  In fact, tonight was apparently only the 4th time it has EVER been played.  Here's hoping it was not just a one-night thing and it gets worked into the set list on a regular basis this summer, and especially for our show here in St. Louis. :)

I was there, it was amazing (again). If only they had kept Ultraviolet (My fav U2 song) then it would've been a perfect setlist.

Ultraviolet appears to have lost its spot as the first encore to Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me.  I love both, so I'd be happy with either. :)

Not a fan of Hold Me Thrill Me. I mean it's alright, but next to Ultraviolet it's nothing IMO.

I definitely prefer Ultraviolet - that is a top 5 U2 song in my book - but I wonder if they have been playing it a lot less on the 360 tour so Bono, still recovering from his back surgery, doesn't have to do all of that crazy swinging around with the mic and whatnot:
