Has anyone tried this? Any tips? Good/Bad idea?

Matthew Bellamy from Muse uses one on the H.A.A.R.P. dvd.
You can get some cool effects using it. Though for me it would be too much work just to get some effects.

When I have heard one it has usually sounded like crap, imo.

And on the 8th day, God created Dream Theater. God then proceeded to rock out with his cock out.

Made it about 5 minutes into the first of the four demos before getting pretty bored since he fumbled helplessly through a fair bit of it. On the tremolo effect part it seemed he had no idea that the more you use a pick the shittier it'll sound since tremolo staccatos the hell out of what your playing. Strummed chords, arpeggios, and sustained notes would've been nice so we could've heard the effect at full strength.

I'll try to watch some more tomorrow I guess.

The videos of this guy playing are pretty second rate IMO. He's not a great guitar player so isn't showing what it's fully capable of.
Find some related videos of someone else playing with one to see what it can really do.
