4) Never Enough
5) Sacrificed Sons
6) Octavarium

WTF seriously?

Yes. VERY seriously. It's possible that Blob Van Dam would choose Awake as the only album he could take with him on a deserted island where he'd be stranded for life before I ever warm up to that song. Calling it anything better than average is sacrilege in my opinion. I don't like speaking this harshly about an apparent DTF sacred cow but I sometimes feel I need to be as brutally frank as possible on the matter to help my skeptics realize that I'm steadfast on the issue and that we'll have to agree to disagree.

I have no problem whatsoever with others liking it but it simply isn't my cup of tea or even murky tap water for that matter and no I'm not trying to troll I just get a touch annoyed at how folks freak out when I express my true opinion about it.

Hey now, black_floyd, I'm all for opinions, but don't you dare compare it to my Awake hate!

Ah who am I kidding? I just like being mentioned :p

I'm glad I'm not alone in not understanding why the song is so loved.  Though I am suprised you ranked it below NE, which may be my single least favorite DT song.

I can understand not loving Octavarium, but I cannot possibly comprehend thinking NE is better than it. That's easily a bottom 5'er right there.

haha, great line.  I mean, not everyone likes the same song.  it's all good.  I loathe "The Glass Prison" with the fire of a thousand suns, but it's in most everyone else's top five.

Ha! No, but after intentionally relaxing my eyes, yeah. I can almost get a slowly waving flag effect if I sit still a good 3 seconds. They oughta consider that combo for 3-D glasses instead of that clear chroma-depth stuff.

Haha, screwed up in the colors. Overall, very balanced. The classics of Images And Words peak amongst the best of DT, so they are naturally peaking here too. Octavarium has LESS amazing tracks IMO, but the title track is THE BEST SONG EVER in my sincere opinion.

I can't get over how high up on avg I walk beside you Is on the lists , all i can hear when i listen to that song is U2 with JLB on vocals
Sorry but i had to say this is the only DT song I HATE
carry on

It's not high on my list, but it's a great live song. Did you see them in Boston in '06? They played it and it kicked ass. My whole attitide towards the song changed.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol
