Political Compass, where are you?
« on: February 09, 2010, 06:57:32 PM »
This tells you where you're political views are for the most part.  I did it and got…

Economic Left/Right: -0.75
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.10
https://www.politicalcompass.org/printablegraph?ec=-0.75&soc=0.10

Pretty close to the middle of the thing even though I always thought i leaned more to the right. ha  What are your results?

I think this quiz is more accurate, to be honest.

If that was directed at me, I thank you, sir. I'm a huge Maiden fan.

Do you guys think that these tests are accurate? I do consider myself to be a libertarian as far as individual rights go ect. ect., but I'll be the first to admit that I'm very much in the dark about the financial/corporate side of things. I suppose that I can accept the results that the test gave me are accurate for me. Do others feel like they're accurate for them also?

I'm in the right quadrant, but as to where I belong there... don't really know, don't really care. It will depend entirely upon the criteria set up by the tests, and exactly what each tests means by liberal, libertarian, authoritian and conservative. In some tests, I come out rather moderate, others more radical.

Whaddaya expect?!

Same here. I consider my opinions pretty center. It would be interesting to see whether the average of all users really is the center of the graph, or whether the origin was simply chosen by the author as "center".

I highly doubt it would. I think that the x origin is pretty close to the average, but from most of the responses I've seen (not just here), people on average are more libertarian than authoritarian.

I'm pretty close to this. Perhaps a bit further down.

I got basically this, a little bit up towards Authoritarian but not crossing the line.

Left: 6.02, Libertarian: 5.49
Nathan is a left social libertarian. He is also a non-interventionist and culturally liberal.

Considering how much I disagree with NG and WW, I'm curious where they'd end up.
